thanks for your response, however, the problem was taht the door evidently had not been completley closed for some period of time. The lights evidently turn off to avoid geting too hot. After closing the door properly for a period of time, the lights came back on. thanks again!

Check the light switch on the door frame, if that doesn't do the trick change the light bulb. If your refrigerator is not running and cooling and the light is out check the power, plug & circuit breaker in the power center.

Flashing ice light service

Hi,

Along with the service light, are you getting any fault codes with it (like EC and a number)? Under normal conditions, this would mean the the unit as a whole is running too much and needs to be cleaned. If cleaned and this is still an issue, you may need a certified person to look for cooling issue that only the computer is seeing. This can happen in a unit the is about 10-15 years old, normally in the fridge section. Do you have a ice ball or frost on the the back wall of the fridge section around the meat slide shelf? this would b a tell - tell sign of a cooling issue. If in doubt, call SubZero dIrectly at 800-888-7820 ask for a certified dealer to take care of you. Not every service company can work on the SubZero unit. (You want certified!)

I hope this helps.

Subzero 650 fridge temp says 34 but is really about 50

Is your thermometer in a glass of water? That's the way to get an accurate temperature reading. You may want to call an authorized servicer.

The temperature controls for the refrigerator are not responding. The freezer controls respond just fine. My fridge is set to 34 and I need to get it back to 37 but it won't change the numbers.

please switch off your refrigerator for at least 8 hrs. than again switch it on. if your problem is not cured than it is sure that your refrigerator have the blower problem because for this reason only, the problem arrises ....... please visit your service authority...........have a nice day:-)

Make sure the condenser is clean. Instructions are in your manual or subzero.com. If cleaning it doesn't work call for service

Subzero door left open - now acting strange

You have probably already figured this out, but if the door is left open there is a sensor that will turn the lights off to keep the fridge from overheating. After you close the door and let it sit with the lights off for 15 minutes or so, the sensor will cool and allow the lights back on. If the temperature reading in the window is ok and does not say "service" or "vacuum condenser", then you should have no more trouble.
