How do I plug in more then one units i.e Wii, DVD player, ect.? I have read the manual and hooked them up that way but dont have any color when I hook up to component input 1 or 2. What am i doing wrong or is there not a way to hook up more then one? The composite input works fine with the color.

You cannot get color when connecting a composite cable to a component input. Unfortunately you will have to connect the Wii to the composite input when you want to use the Wii and then disconnect it and connect the DVD player to the composite input when you want to use it and etc.

Please tell me how to hook up my Wii and my cd player and my dvd player to Pioneer VSX-D309 receiver

Greetings and good health to you.
Ok, so on the back of the unit there should be labeled connections, AUX, DVD, etc. These will be your inputs.
If your Wii has RCA connectors (the plug like ends that are usually Red, White & Yellow) then you would connect the Red plug to the AUX right speaker input. The White plug to the AUX left speaker input. If you want to run the video through the unit to the TV, then you would plug the Yellow plug to the AUX video input. If not, the yellow plug with go straight to the TV. If you are using HDMI from you Wii, then you would plug that into one of your HDMI inputs.

You will do the same for CD player but using the inputs labeled CD or whatever you have available. You can use any of these inputs for any of your devices it just helps to know what is connected where.

The DVD player may be a different story. Depending on what type of connection you are using from the DVD player will depend on where you plug it in. If they are red, white and yellow...then follow as above. If they are red & white on half the cable and blue, green and red on the other, you will plug the red & white ones that are close together into the red and white audio inputs under the DVD labeled connections. Then the other 3 will go into their matching colored inputs. If the connection from the DVD player is HDMI, that will go into a HDMI slot.

Finally, connect the unit to the TV. Keep in mind that if you are using any HDMI inputs, you will need to connect the unit to the TV via a HDMI cable.

Hope that helps.

Hooked up cable box, wii box and dvd player to new lg 50 inch 720p plasma tv... all external components work, however, dvds and wii only show in black and white - no color...

Connect the Wii and the DVD player to different ports on the TV to and any other device to the port in which the Wii and the DVD player were connected to check if the issue is with the port.

If other devices also display in black and white after connecting them to the port to which the Wii and the DVD player were originally connected then the ports require servicing.

How do I hook up my dvd player and WII system to my Dynex 42 inch LDC flat panel tv so they are both in color, what inputs do I use ?

Allot depends on your DVD player and WII. Since the TV is a color one unless the movie your watching on the DVD player is B/W it will play in color, same with the WII. If your DVD player supports HDMI then select one of the HDMI ports on the TV (there are 3) same for the WII depending on what outputs it supports select one of the corresponding inputs on your TV. The user manual shows several options for various components and should be of some assistance in your connections.

I purchased a wii machine and can't figure out how to set it up.

to hook up the wii, plug the censor bar into the back of the wii and the a/v jacks into the tv/vcr/dvd player(line the colors right(red with red, white with white and yellow with yellow))and connect the opposite end into the wii. Then take the power box(big gray box with outlet cord attached) and plug it into the back of the wii and wall, turn on and play some great games

We just received a big screen tv as a gift and we want to hook up our dvd player and our vcr and have lost the manuals. HELP

You can hook your dvd player in tv by using component video input terminal having green-red-blue colors for video signal and red-white for audio signal. so total 5 wires been used here. color order should be exact at both units, tv and dvd player i.e green to green, blue to blue and so on.

vcr can be hooked at composite video input in tv having 3 pins, yellow for video, red-white for audio in both units, vcr and tv. pins color should be exact on both units.

need further help, post here please.
