Just look at your adapter there will be switch which is protecting the media card ,so just slide it to the other side to unlock it..and now you will be able to transfer file....

Now one thing is also possible that registry setting may are set to protect the media card ,if this is the case just download the file below
Use the Registry Hack to Disable Writing to USB Drives
Here is the link .just download the zip folder and after opening the folder you will find a file just double click on it..

When i try to transfer files to my device i get a message that says it is "write protected" and i cannot transfer files. how do i turn off this "write protection"

According to your manual, you device does NOT have a write protect feature.
Get your manual here:
http://www.retrevo.com/d/ds/progress?doc=8093d57f74f10c7ac0fed7aecc49455f&rk=0.03367205450935784

HOWEVER, the data card does. While holding the data card with the metal showing on the botton towards you, on the left edge, there is a "write protect" tab.

change the position of this slide switch, then re-insert into the RCA device. It should no longer be locked.

Good luck, and don't forget to vote.

I followed the instructions on how to transfer files to and from your memory card for my zen. The computer shows the file as on the memory card but when I try to access the files from the player, it says...

Songs on your card are not in the same location has songs on the zen itself. You need to go to the SD card menu and the songs that are on the card will be there.

Help me

Make sure your device is under MTP mode...to do that go under the menu settings, usb and device mode and change it to MTP

Assuming that you have windows media player 10.
1. Creating a selection in Windows Media Player
Launch Windows Media Player 10. Click on the Library tab then Add to Library > Add folder and select a folder (e.g. compilation of favourite songs, converted CD, folder of downloaded songs, etc.) from your hard drive (See Image 1). Click OK to confirm your selection. Your folder data will appear in the main window. Repeat the procedure for your other albums.

You can also do this by clicking File > Add to library > Add folder.

When your folders are ready, click-hold to select all your songs and then drag them to the window on the left, as indicated. Select the entire list again and click Now Playing List and select Synch List (See Image 2).

2. Transferring your selection to your MP3 player
Click on the Synchronize tab. Connect your MP3 player to your computer, your player will be automatically recognized by the computer and synchronization (that is file transfer) will begin immediately.

3. Transferring your MP3s to flash memory
Insert the memory card from your MP3 player or MP3 phone into your computer's card reader and open My Computer. Windows XP will automatically recognize your memory card and its icon should appear next to the other icons.

Click on its icon to open your memory card.

Select the MP3 file to transfer. If you want to transfer several files at once, control-click each individual file. In the File Manager window, click Copy File and select the destination folder.

Check this site for more clarification...I hope this helps..

Are you using a Memory Card in it, i'd looked up and you could insert a memory card.

If you have a memory card inserted. It could be that you actually locked this one.

Try to pull out the memory card and look for a little switch (usually it's on the left side when facing the logo to you (this means the connector is on the backside)).

Itunes issue

Hello The iBulldog does not support any DRM protected files or AAC files off iTunes. What you can do is burn the files on to a CD and then rip them back to your computer. After that transfer them to the player Yeshai www.mympio.com
