This camera does not use a separate memory card....only internal memory of 8mb. Since the camera only has a 1.3 megapixel resolution, it will hold quite a few pictures. You must use the included USB cord to connect the camera to your computer for downloading the pics. You must also install the included software first.

How do i take a picture on my Toshiba laptop

1. Open a program called"Camera Assistant." This is a Toshiba-supported computr program designed specifically for people with cameras built into their laptops. You can find this by clicking on the "Start" menu and then navigatingto the "Programs" sub-menu. 2. Press the"Picture" button in the "Camera Assistant" program windowto take a picture using your built-in camera. This will take one stillphotograph for every time you click the button. The image you are taking willappear on the right side of the main program window. 3. Press the"Video" button in the "Camera Asst" program window tobegin recording video using your built-in camera. This will record video untilyou press the "Stop" button. The video you are recording will appearon the right side of the main program window. 4. If you can't open"Camera Assistant," reinstall your drivers. Though the camera on aToshiba laptop is designed to work right out of the box, if it doesn't you mayneed to reinstall the driver that makes it work. Look for the CD labeled"Drivers and Software" that came packaged into the box with yourToshiba laptop. Pop it in your laptop's CD-ROM or DVD-ROM drive and install the"Digital Camera" driver contained on the disc.

My son got a vivitar vs18b camera. The packaging says Mac compatible but when we put the image zone disk in nothing happens. I've tried clicking on the 2 files after opening the disk icon and nothing...

Try to get your money back for the camera. If not, go buy your son a better camera. Vivitar has no drivers for anything. Only what comes with the camera (WinXP only). Plus the viewfinder is junk, and the camera loses all store pictures when the batteries die or are removed. My son got one of these for Christmas, and I have never seen a worse piece of junk.

How can I print pictures from internal memory

In the menu, there should be an entry for "copy" giving you the option to copy the internal memory to a memory card.

You've got an expensive unit (see below for Press Release), with a built-in CD/DVD reader/writer.
Given that your unit could be six years old, it's possible that the reader/writer has "died".

It seems to be a "stand-alone" unit -- not something that requires either Mac OSx or Windows XP/Vista/7 to operate.

I'm guessing that _ANY_ IDE (not 'SATA') HP-brand reader/writer, provided that it has a "LightScribe" capability, could be purchased, and could be inserted to replace the "dead" reader/writer. For about $100, it's worthwhile to try this "substitution" to revive your unit.

How old is the film in camera & when did you put in the film?

Polaroid's battery is built in with the film package.
If the package is old or been in the camera for a long time battery may be low or dead.

Try changing film out.

Good Luck! Hope this helped. Please rate.

Hello,
My son has the same camera with a 1 gigabyte Sandisk sd card. This allows him to store about 200 pictures at full resolution. The cards are very inexpensive. Here is a link to a 1gb card that is $8.28 on Amazon.com: http://www.amazon.com/SanDisk-Secure-Digital-SDSDB-1024-Package/dp/B000I5ZC3W/ref=pd_bbs_2?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1210104172&sr=8-2
If you plan to take small movies I would get a 2 gig card. Videos use much more memory. This one is $11.88 from Amazon"

Costco also has great prices on SD memory.
Important:
Your camera will not accept cards larger than 2 gigabytes.
If that helped please rate me well.
Take Care,
-WN

Dvd to prints

You can either
1. Transfer the still pictures from the camcorder to the PC, and then, either
1.1 use your PC software to print the pictures, or
1.2 use an online photo processing lab to print the pictures for you.
OR
2. Take the disc from the camcorder to a local photo printing shop and ask them to print the pictures you want printed.

But first ...
before you can transfer pictures or video from your Canon DC210 to your PC you need to finalise the disc in the camcorder.

You also need to make sure that the DVD drive on your PC is capable of reading a DVD-R, DVD-R DL or DVD-RW format as these are the only disk formats that the DC210 will handle. Not all PC DVD drives can read these formats.

To finalise the disk you must have the power adapter connected to the camera, plugged into a wall socket and turned on. Then, switch on the camera, put it into playback mode, Press 'Func.', select main menu, select 'disk operations', select 'finalise'. Don't move or shake the camera or switch it off whilst the finalising step is underway - this could cause problems.

Once finalising is complete, take it out of the camcorder and then follow steps 1.1, 1.2 or 2 above.

Good Luck.
