SOURCE: please help with tv! green blinking light wont stop and tv wont turn on

Here's something that might also be useful. After you turn on the set, and get the regular red blinky lights, hold down the Device and Menu buttons together for about 5 seconds.
The Power light will start to flash in a two digit sequence.
please post your error code

HELLO i HAVE THE mITSUBISHI wd60737 AND IT WILL NOT TURN ON. IT BLINKS THREE GREEN LIGHTS LIKE IT GOING TO TURN ON BUT THEN IT BLINKS RED ONCE AND TURNS OF. i TRIED THE HOLD FOR TEN SECONDS RESET THIN

First make sure the filters and vents are clean and the filter cover(s) are properly installed.

Try once more (DO NOT RESET). As soon as the TV shuts down, press the ACTIVITY/ENTER button and the CH Down button on the TV (not the remote control) and hold them for 5 seconds. The Status LED will start blinking an error code. The "normal" code is 12, which would be one blink, pause, then two blinks and a pause. The code is repeated five times. Post your results in the comments; I can look up the code for you.

Wd-73737 wont turn on blinking green light

First is if you are able to get it to turn on and blue screen only appears it will shut down as no signal noted.

If you can get it on with Mitsubishi remote : Menu, 1,2,3 enter

This is the soft reset and the set also has a hard reset.

Try the soft reset first and let me know what happens.

What is the solution to the blinking green light and welcome screen then tv shuts itself off

I recently had this problem on my model as well, though it was lessthan a year old. The method that worked for me is to update thefirmware of the TV itself; you can download the new software, with complete instructions on how to update your TV at http://support.mitsubishi-tv.com/documents/WD-60C9
After doing this, my set started working again.
Do not replace your lamp. the light will blink red for a bad lamp, not green.

Out of the box green light comes on and blinks for 10 to 15 seconds, blue screen on television appears for a few seconds then goes black and red light blinks and nothing happens

Only get Welcome screen and green blinking lite. Then shuts off. Buttons locked out also. Need to get software update V41C-11.3 Mitsubishi-tv.com. Go to support then software update. It will ask for model, ser. First and Last name and E-mail. download. http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?p=19844230
Has a link about 1/3 way down that will go right to the download. Very helpful.
