Mine used to work, but recently when put in the charging cradle, the charge indicator goes green for a second, then starts flashing red. Have tried flicking the power switch, cleaning contacts etc with no joy. Going to have to bin it if I dont find a solution soon because if its not charging it will run out of power soon. Does work OK right now, both in and out of the base.

Disconnect the keyboard from your Mac's Bluetooth configuration (One way: System Preferences > Bluetooth; select the keyboard and use the "-" minus sign to remove it). Now place it in the charger. The red blinking should stop and normal green-blink charging should take place. You should only have to do this once. I love this keyboard.

You can buy the charger at any computer stores in your place. Just ask for it and if the store you enter does not have that item, they can order that kind of charger from there supplier.

SOURCE: Logitech DInovo Edge: When I charge the keyboard

It looks to me like Logitech changed the design a bit. I found no such "CAP", however the problem did in fact lie in the same spot under the sleep button. I found a flat cable that had 6 jumper wires running through it to be the culprit. The cable was made too big, so they bent it to make it fit thus damaging it. I'm going to have to replace it, but just from playing with it a little I got my keyboard to turn on advertising a full charge and when I set it on the base I get a green light off happiness.

It wont load properly and when i take it out of the charging station it starts to beep and flash frequently

Possible that the battery is not charging well or the cell is weak and worn out.
Remove to check and replace.

Logitech dinovo edge will not power on

What are you trying to ask, are you saying that this doesnt happen on your dinovo, is the charging dock plugged into a working outlet. Check that, if it doesnt work at all, contact logitech for a replacement.

Battery problem,...

I had this problem with mine so lets start by saying there are solutions!!

Solution 1:

Logitech state the battery cannot be replaced. It CAN. You can purchase the exact battery from ebay. Its a simple case of taking the orange backing off, removing all the screws (not forgetting the one hidden under the bluetooth address sticker) and popping the keyboard apart. From there, flip out the battery, pop in the new one, put it all back togeather and voila.

Solution 2:

Now if you dont care about your warrenty or it has none (as does mine) there are two contacts on the back of the keyboard which connect to the charger stand. Having took the keyboard apart, solder a wire onto each contact and then solder onto the battery connection contacts taking care to match red to red and black to black. Every time the keyboard is docked it will charge until you remove it. One other thing to note is that the low battery will keep flashing at you now and again (according to logitech you have about 10 mins use left until battery gives up) I have been using it for over 5 hours like this and its still going strong.

Enjoy.

Not charging

Try to turn on the Keyboard.
There's a switch in the right side of the Keyboard.
