Question about Casio Exilim EX-S500 Digital Camera

Screen looks 'snowy'

The camera was working perfectly until the last time I charged it. Now when I take pictures, they come out fuzzy and snowy. (think when the cable is going out and the picture gets fuzzy.) I do not know how to fix this. I have the setting on BS (Best Shot), and have tried using other settings, but nothing is working. This is regardless if I take pictures inside or outside. I have had this camera for less than a year.

I'm assuming your battery is not leaking and your charging is ok, meaning no overcharging. If this is the case, I suggest you send the camera in for checking way before the warranty runs out. My guess is that there is a leak or very small short circuit that has happened. Did the camera get knocked out of your hands or did you hit something with it accidentally? These cameras are very sensitive and even a slight knock might misalign something inside to cause the snow.

Sounds like an electronics problem. Try resetting in the setup window. Remove and replace the battery. If these don't work, definitely take it back to the supplier for warrantee repair. Any problems with that, go straight to Consumer Affairs.

Pictures fuzzy when you look through the viewer.

The viewfinder and the picture lens are totally separate. If it looks fuzzy, and then comes out fuzzy, the capture screen inside needs cleaned. The main lens and viewfinder lenses should be cleaned too.
Get estimates before you say yes to the work. It might be cheaper to buy another camera, unless you can do the work yourself.

Hello i have canon ixus 960 is camera. it is one month old.

I think you are in manual mode or one of the special scene modes, and the camera sounds like its set for low light conditions. Look at your mode dial on the back of your camera in the upper right corner. Rotate this dial to the first little red camera selection "Automatic" position (the one with no letters beside it). Now try taking a picture.

My pictures turn out fuzzy all the time and i can't figure out how to turn on my flash. Please Help! Casio Exilim EX-Z70

Flash should turn on by pressing the "Set" button and then the down arrow until you get to the flash menu. Choose the setting that looks like a lightning bolt.

If that doesn't work press the "Menu" button and then press the "right arrow" until you are on the far right tab. Press the "up arrow" until you come to "Reset." Press the "Right arrow." The camera will ask you if you want to reset it. Tell it "Yes." This will take it back to factory settings and clear any mode that turns the flash off.

Are the pictures fuzzy because the flash isn't working? Are outdoor pictures in daylight fuzzy or OK? If they are fuzzy all the time you may have a lens problem. If they are only fuzzy when the flash is needed, fixing your flash should cure the problem.

FUZZY (SNOWY) PICTURE

Well, I can tell you it shouldnt have anything to do with your not having an HD box. The TV does not require a HD signal to give you a quality picture. The HD box only gives you the enhanced HD signal, but should work as any regular TV without it. How do you have it connected?
