Channel information stays on screen for av channels

Hi,

I have just bought a new Sony Bravia, and when I switch to an AV channel to watch either DVD or Sky, the green AV appears in the top left tof the screen, however instead of disappearing after 10secs - it stays there permanently?

How do I get this back to disappearing after the channel is changed?

I have the same problem with my Sony Bravia 40D3500. I have been told to press the i+ & button but it still does not work.

If anyone has a solution then please let me know. Thanks!

I had the same problem, press the i+ button and it goes off, but I think that it must be something more complicated, as i tried that initially and it didn't work. Perhaps some other intermittent bug causes it to jam for a while, when that bug has worked itself out the i+ works again

There should be a info button or display button on remote to turn on and off, unless it is coming from the box that is connected to tv

Atv will turn on but stays on one channel and menu button and channel button will not work, and there no picture.

Most TV's require to be set on channel 3 with the TV remote again I say with the TV remote then if you get a screen run the channel lookup command from the TV remote, that should do it for you. In addition make sure the TV is set to the correct AV input with the converter box remote, your ISP can help with that part

Hi, I have a sony bravia tv ( klv20G300A) which was bought in Hong Kong about3 years ago . I haven't been able to get it to work with the uk digital signal. I am wondering about it's compatibility-...

This tv has analog tuner and you need digital tuner in tv to get digital signal in UK, alternate way is to hook cable box with this tv that will convert digital signal into AV output that will connect to AV input of tv to get cable channels.

1. How do I watch the same movie on both screens on the Philips PET9422 37 9 in. Dual screen DVD players? 2. I bought a refurbished model but did not get a user's manual. How do I get one?

hi,
You can do the following to watch the same moving in both the screen.
1.Connect the AV out of both the unit together. with supplied av cord

2. If you want to watch the movie played on the first unit then put the DVD/AV IN switch of first monitor to DVD and the DVD/AV IN switch of second one to AV IN.Now you can watch the movie played on the first monitor on both monitors.

3. IF you want to watch movie played on the second unit then put DVD/AV IN switch of second monitor to DVD and the DVD/AV IN switch of the first monitor to AV IN. Now you can watch the movie played on the second monitor on both monitors.

I have the manual of the same . As it is large pdf file can't sent through fixya. If you can sent your email id through fixya will sent you the manual
ok

Sony Bravia 40'' LCD 240Hz TV can't get video signal from DVD

Are you absolutely sure you have it wired up right? Are the Cable RIGHT wires color to color, is the "Correct Input" selected? Remember you do NOT use "Channels" but an AV, AUX, or External.input. Most DVD etc, use AV, IE: Yellow, (Video), Red, (Audio), White (Audio) for the OUT connections. These go color to color at TV end. And uses 3 Cables. The "Other" type of Output/Input is Component Video. This is ALL Video, Red, Blue, Green, these go color to color as well. BUT you MUST also send the Sound, Via the AV, IE: The Red & White, AV, Audio IN/OUT connections, So you in this case would have 5 cables/connections in all.

No sound in Sony Bravia

If the sound is not heard during tuner (channel) but is when using an AV input (DVD) then it is likely the Second Audio Program (SAP) has been engaged. Some SONYs simply have a button on the remote to toggle through choices, SAP is used primarily for second language transmission of audio. Either move to a PBS station or some other channel that specifies SAP programmimg or turn the choice (MTS in some SONY menus) back to "main" by either a remote button or in the audio menu.

Good luck.

Unable to locat and select the AV channel on new LCD HD TV

Hi, try switching your tv to channel 3 or 4 and see if that works- there should be a switch on the back of your DVD player beside the Coaxial Cable outputs-it will allow you to use Channel 3 or 4 as the default to play dvd's. I hope that helps-if more detail or wiring diagram is needed-please leave make and model numbers and i'll try to help.
Cheers and have a Happy Holiday Season!
