If you used a compatible cartridge (as I assume) the problem is with the cartridge "CHIP", very common on compatible cartridges, return the cartridge or replace the chip. The chip is on the top of the cartridge and can be remove.
Trata esto: When installing the C3400n printer, or when replacing the toner
cartridge, be sure to fully insert the toner cartridge into the image
drum, and make sure the blue lever is pushed ALL THE WAY toward the back
of the printer (fully locked position). If it is not fully closed
(locked), a "toner sensor" or "toner empty" message may result. Note:
(Picture at bottom shows incorrect position of locked toner cartridge that may result in either of these messages).
Installation Procedure of Image Drum and Toner Cartridge:
>> Insure the toner is fully locked, see
photo below showing the correct and incorrect positions of the locked
toner cartridge.
Sorted it....followed following and changed to region 4 instaed of open to all regions and the the dvd's worked! Not sure why I had to change from multi-region to sole region 4 but why question when it works! Thanks
press remote keys in this order- open-setup-mute-last-next-this opens the service menu where you can select ALL regions or in my case changed to region 4 only!
There is a gray button right of the LCD display that has a black arrow circling clockwise and four color dots (magenta/black/cyan/yellow). Push it until you see the "Rotating to Yellow" in the LCD display, then open up the top of the printer by pushing the big gray latch next to the picture card reader at the right front of the printer. You now have access to the cartridge. pull it out and examine it. If it is a new cartridge, check to see if you pulled the plastic dam strip out (which keeps the toner in place in shipment etc).
Well I have a Yelo and the unit does do this sometimes.....it does sort itself out by switching off and pulling the plug out and leaving it for a minute or so....plug in and should be ok.....if not do the same again! I do not know why this happens but all in all the Yelo is a good unit...it just appears to have quirks! The plug out fix works for me!
