Intertherm furnace burner comes on, but blower does not. If I turn thermostat off then back on until it clicks the fan will then come on. It does not do this all of the time, just now and then.

Furnace burner and heat element are not the same. I think the fan time delay, a sensor that turns the fan on when this sensor senses heat, is shot and needs replacing, for a furnace type heat ( gas heat)

Furnace motor turns on, igniter lights gas and as soon as the blower turns on the gas shuts off. It will cycle like this for 2-3 times then seems to operate normally.

Sounds like the unit is triping the limit before the blower comes on. Try puting the fan ON at the thermostat and see how the burners react with a heating call. If they stay on then I would look at the wiring diagram and try and determine what turns the blower on it the heat cycle. is it temperature or time delay through a control board. Hope this helps.

No cool air coming out of home air conditioner

Unless your compressor is burnt up, you probably don't need a new unit. If it's a 1998 it's not that old and you can get parts, the only thing is it's probably R-22 refrigerant and they must fix the leak in the unit if that's the problem before adding refrigerant and the refrigerant is expensive.. All they have in a heating and cooling system, that needs replaced, are a few parts. Outdoor unit has a fan motor, compressor, capacitors fan and compressor and a contactor. Furnace has a blower motor, capacitor, gas valve, fan and limit or furnace control board, which they still make replacement parts for.
My advice would be to call some more HVAC companies, till you find one, that is willing to fix your unit and not replace it..

Honeywell thermostat TH6110D1021. Blower comes on

Hi, You are right, fan is on a time delay in the heating cycle, and after burners fire that is when this delay comes into play. You have a preset factory temperature that determines the cycle on time for the fan, and the off time after the burners shut down also. This will not be in the thermostat, but in the fan/limit control the is mounted on the face of the furnace, with a probe inserted into the fire box.Depending on how old or new this unit is, will depend on the type control you have.It may be just a high limit switch, or the 1st I mentioned. If so, It rotates in the burner as the temperature rises, to turn the fan on and off.Disconnect power, remove cover, and 2 screws.Slowly remove the control and gently clean the probe. Turn the dial if this one has it and you will be able to hear it click. This click is contacts closing to start fan operation.Reinsert and try again. If problem continues, you will have to replace it.They do tend to stick closed/on, in the heat cycle from time to time and a cleaning sometimes will solve this problem. Not knowing how old this furnace is and type, make it difficult to give you a correct diagnosis, so check this fan control as I have explained, and if your system is of a different type, please let me no so I can correct this problem. Sincerely,
Shastalaker7

Possible Contactor Issue

Sounds like a bad fan switch in your unit. That unit has a fan board in it that is time delay on and off. Turn the fan to the on position and let it run all the time. If it keeps temp and does not shut off it is the fan realy board. The board also controls the compressor. Check that first and then the tsat. Russ

WHEN THE HEATER COMES ON THE FAN STARTS INSTANTLY AND BLOWS COLD

Do you have a heat pump? If so this is normal. You are probably used to a gas furnace. There are heat pumps that do have a delay though. Look on the circuit board in the air handler. There may be a set of pins that say 0-30-60-90 yours may be at 0. Also some digital T-stats offer that function for delay off to get the extra heat or cold from the system. Find out what the model number of the air handler and call the Goodman supplier in your area to see if you have these options.
If you have a gas furnace and it's not delaying the blower there is definately something wrong.

Rheem heat pump. blower will not turn off

The fans are set to delay for 60-90 seconds to remove all heat from the heat exchanger/heater elements.

If the fan runs any longer than 3-4 minutes after the Emergency Heat shuts off, you may have a bad sequencing relay in the air handler.

How to reset 5 minute blower delay for carrier 4 ton central system-instlalled 1995

There are potentially 3 time delay relays in this system.

1) Many digital Thermostats come with compressor ON delays that are not serviceable.
2) There is an accesory manual Time delay available for this unit. It is also a compressor ON delay. (located in the electrical compartment of the condenser)
3) Most newer furnaces have a blower OFF delay (set manually at the circuit board.

I have the technical manual for this unit if you need it.

Inside blower not starting every time

That's a weird problem. I wonder if the outside compressor is drawing down the voltage in the breaker box enuff to keep the blower from starting up. If you're set to cool but the thermostat is NOT calling for the AC, can you manually turn the blower on fathfully? If so, I would check all wiring connections in the breaker box to make sure they are tight and free from tarnish or corrosion. You may even need to contact your power company and have a higher amperage line installed outside. Do your house lights blink noticably when the compressor kicks on?

While you're resolving this, you could start the blower manually and just leave it on. The compressor cycling on/off shouldn't stop the blower once it's running and it won't draw much current... couple bucks a month maybe.

Hope that helps...

Fan keep,s blowing

Your thermostat is calling for blower, your fan relay is stuck, or that model had a time delay blower solid state board on it which had the blower relay on it, and it could be bad. I would turn the power off to all of your system for a few minutes and see if this could make something happen.
