....especially with the new software that Samsung recommended. During the day all inserts of color mode has resulted in that it turns back to b/w - later in the afternoon it just printed text and numbers....
Samsung has no idea what this is. It´s said that CLP-300 is "dedicated for Vista" (I wonder). The only recommendation I got was to turn to Microsoft "it´s their fault - not ours". Meanwhile my Canon ink-jet 4000 works perfect - from the same Windows Vista Ultimate.... gaaah. What to do????

You do not say what exact model of printer you are using so any answer will be generic rather than specific.
Poor colour and black tone can be as a result of various factors: 1. Poor paper quality that you are printing on. 2. Poor ink or toner quality being used. 3. Use of Ink / Toner saving modes or software. 4. Worn or damaged printer components such as the fuser roll on a laser printer and other similar consumables with a limited page use life. 5. Poor quality content being printed, i.e. low quality images being printed at too high a print resolution.
One of the most common problems with HP All-in-One Printers is that they can send out fax but cannot receive or they can receive fax but cannot send. Now, what more could possibly be the problem if you are sure that your connection cables are correct and properly setup? Well, most people don't know that this is more often than not, caused by the ECM feature of the fax.
ECM or Error Correction Mode is used by fax machines during transmission. This feature is used to eliminate transmission problems especially when you have a "dirty" or noisy telephone line or a very poor signal can result to fax failures. ECM mode, when is turned ON is supposed to check for errors and glitches and is supposed to make the reception or transmission of faxes come out successfully.
However, for some reasons, the ECM mode is not supposed to be performing well with its feature. Especially if the user has a problem with the telephone line, the more that they cannot receive or transmit a fax. It is then recommended that your HP All-In-One printer's ECM fax settings be turned OFF. To do this, follow the steps below:
1. On your printers front control panel, press the button with the wrench symbol; this is the Setup button. 2. Press the right > or left < arrow until you see Advanced Fax Setup then press OK. 3. Press the right > or left < arrow until you see Error Correction Mode; again press OK. 4. Press the right > or left < arrow until to select Error Correction Mode OFF. Press OK to confirm.
That's it! You may now try to send out a fax or ask a friend to send you one.
It sounds as if the pictures are stored that way, especially if you've changed printers. Try downloading a color document and printing it. Do you get the same result? Also did you reload the software when you set up the new one? It's always good to delete the existing driver and start with a new one.
clean the print head 3 times, then realign the head .these are done by printer utility software given with the printer.
Even not ok.
Then Replace the New Catridge.(manufactured from within 3 of 4 months).because the ink will be dried with in 6 month. So Buy Carefully with Mfd Date.
this happens during automatic color calibration, more than likely you need new color developer installed by a technician. turn machine on holding the 0&8 buttons to enter service mode type 4546 and 0 then start and 556 and 0 (start) 557 and 0 (start), then hold interrupt it will beep 5 times and shut down, this will turn off the calibration and allow you to make copies but will not improve quality.
this time you are going to find MANUALLY your vista driver of your printer, go to device manager and update driver using an inserted CD of your printer... and even your going to update your VISTA its not reason...
hello,i have a good solution to your problem, first go to bottom of printer and copy the model number, next go to the www.samsung.com/support/productsupport/download/index.aspx - or try this one
www.samsung.com/support/index.asp hope you have good results. Robert Alan
Backup mode means printing with one cartridge. If the printer tells you "cartridge failed", it probably doesn't recognize it. You can try removing it from the printer and gently wipe the electric contacts on the cartridge with a dry cloth. Turn the printer off, turn it back on and reinsert the cartridge. If the message is still there, I suggest you buy a new color cartridge. You can also go to the store where you refilled your cartridges and ask for their opinion, they may be able to help too.
