Stove igniter doesn’t work

if the igniter doesn't work most likely it needs to be changed out.they do fail, sometimes the glow and still don't ignite the flame,it works on amps,it takes around 3.6 amps for the igniter to open the gas valve, you might see the igniter glow but if the flame doesn't ignite within 40 to 60 seconds the igniter has to be changed out.if you have a lazy igniter it can burn a hole through the burner tube, and then you have to change out both the igniter and tube, next time send the model number and brand name of oven so i can look up the part for you or whoever is helping you.

Possible ignition switch. Try moving key gently back and forth while vehicle is running to see if radio will work. If it does, suspect ignition switch

2002 Grand Prix heater/lights, My heater randomly works and if the heater doesn't work either does my head lights. I'm thinking it's my ignition switch?

If you mean that the Daytime Running Lamps (DRL) does not work when the blower motor does not work, then YES it COULD be an ignition switch problem. However, not very likely (please read on). The regular HIGH and LOW beam headlamps do not require the ignition switch to operate.

The main circuit that runs your regular headlamps also runs the blower motor HIGH speed. This has nothing to do with the ignition switch.
This circuit also operates the Power Mirror circuits and the Hazzard Flashers. You may want to check to see if these are also malfunctioning when this happens.

The Circuits for your other blower speeds go through the ignition switch along with the DRL control module, but your HIGH speed does not. So if it is your ignition switch, your HIGH speed should still work and your regular headlamps should still work. You will lose only your lower blower speeds and DRL if it is an ignition switch problem. You will have a bunch of other stuff going out if it is an ignition switch also. The ignition switch circuit that runs your DRL module also runs your Powertrain Control Module. So if it is an ignition switch problem causing your DRL to shut down, your engine will also be shutting down.

Gas oven not getting hot - glow bar works but no gas to burner

This happens when an oven igniter (glow bar) is bad. The igniter must draw enough amps to turn on the gas to ignite the flame. If you have a square shaped igniter use this part#5303935066 If your have a round shaped igniter use part#wb2x9154. These igniter will pretty much work universally for most gas ranges or ovens.
  1. Remove the racks
  2. Unplug unit
  3. Take out the screw holding the bottom pan
  4. Remove screws holding manifold where igniter is attached
  5. Remove manifold cut wires about 2in link from igniter and clean leads.
  6. Unscrew and remove igniter
  7. Replace Igniter with new one and fasten onto manifold
  8. Clean wires and screw on ceramic nuts to wires
  9. Tuck wires back and Reinstall all components
Test your new igniter. You might notice it taking a little longer to light up but that is okay.
Please let me know if this was helpful by rating me a 4.
Thanks so much have a great weekend.

THE RIGHT REAR ELECTRONIC IGNITER DOESNT WORK

All of the igniters are connected together. When power is applied they all get activated and all burners spark. If one aint working either the ire to it is off, or the igniter have grease on it and therefore cannot get a good ground, or the hole beside the igniter is clogged and thus the gas won't ignite. This first video shows how they work and the second one is very important because it shows how to keep from damaging the stove while attempting repairs

Broiler and oven igniter the same?

you may not need a igniter. the problem could be with your control board which supplies power to both the broil igniter and the oven igniter. In my years of working on ovens i have not seen a oven that needed both igniters replaced.
