Question about Philips Televison & Video
Sorry but the only way to fix a bricked device caused by a bad firmware update is to perform a low level reset and firmware reload. The only ones that can do that are the guys from the factory (not even your average dealer repair shop can do that) - the firmware EPROM chip must be accessed directly with special equipment.
You will have to have it sent to them - it will be so expensive that you should be very sure that the player is worth the money.

Try holding down the standby on button on the player not on the remote control until the unit resets. Complete the reset within the unit's menus as well and try again.

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
