Question about Epson Stylus CX6000 All-In-One InkJet Printer

1 Answer

I seem to have a paper jam on the right side of the paper feed - I have tried to clear any objects but it seems fine - it just creases the paper slightly and it will not feed through and print.

Yeppers, there is a SMALL object in there. If you have an air can, that is the best option to clear even things we do NOT want to clean up after they come out, but it is needed. If that does not work, you can use a combo of Q-tip and rubbing alcohol, or vodka and stick it in there and wipe hard to see if you can clear anything. Also, you can tip the printer towards you, holding tight and lightly whack the back to help dislodge the item. Also, you can try a piece of poster board paper to jam in there to get the piece out... PLEASE let me know if these do not work, we can try a few more things... Thanks for letting me assist you today, is is my pleasure.... Guy

HOWDY~ I am not a big pusher of people opening the printer as it will void the warranty immediately, there is ofter times a small silver strip, like the one embedded into a dollar bill, and if it is torn, your warranty is shot. BUT, if you tried all my last options, try about 5 pages of paper, hit PRINT and shove them all through as the intake starts to roll, them pull them out right before they get stuck. Oh, forgot to mention, but, most printers are also manufactured so that there are little 'snap' plastic tabs inserted, so when then build the printer, once it snaps snut, you will need a tab puller to release them, alsno not knowing where they are, you could further break the machine. Please let me know if this helps, we can still go further.... Guy :)

Had another root around below the scanner table and through a tiny **** i saw the offending object. I managed to dislodge it with a bent paperclip. The printer is now working well. Thanks for support in my process.

Before I read your comment, I was trying to figure out how to access the roller to see if there was something stuck in there and could not get to it. I tried to unscrew a few places, one of them being the top of the scanner. After unscrewing the screw on the right back side, I tried pulling it up and it came up with a big pop, uncovering a white plastic piece. Now I cannot seem to snap it back on. Any help available or have I ruined it :(

How to disassemble a Kodak ESP C110 printer?

Hello Edward,
There really is no reason to take it apart fully as the printer is showing classic signs of a paper jam. Usually it is a small piece of paper that has torn off and is lodged in the printer's paper path, it also could be something small such as a paper clip. Yours obviously is located on the side that the crease appears. The paper feeds in and then it hits the stuck object, then jams. Look very carefully at the leading edge of the paper near the crease and it may show the exact location of the foreign object. in the paper path. Remove the object and you should be all set!

Good Luck!

The paper alwayes jamming

If paper is consistently jamming, there are two usual suspects: worn feed rollers or a physical obstruction. If the paper comes out with a crease or dog-eared corners, you most likely have some sort of debris blocking the paper path. However, if the paper doesn't have any creases or bends, then the feed rollers have most likely worn out or need to be cleaned. For obstructions, I would suggest manually feeding a thick piece of card stock through the machine in hopes of clearing out any debris or stuck paper bits.

My canon pixma MP210, is not feeding the paper through, seems to jam, but printer still is printing. The paper is taken about 10cms into printer, then twists slightly but does not fee through. Have checked...

There is a foreign object in the paper tray. Because it is curved you cannot see it. It is stuck in the narrowed area right before the feeding rollers.
Disconnect the cables and rotate the printer in a way it stands on its back.
Open the front cover. Use long thin flat screw driver that can go trough the paper out area and to reach the feed roller.Insert the screw driver between each pressure roller and the the feed roller to release the object. If successful it will fall out from the tray. Usually it's a coin, pen, point-protector, ruller, paper clip and so on.

Hp deskjet 6122 paper feed

Try putting Isopropyl alcohol on the feed rollers. These rollers become hard and smooth with time and cause all sorts of paper feed problems. You can find isopropyl alcohol at any drug store(it is rubbing alcohol).

Paper catch rollers out of alignment

Try this
1.take a sheet of paper ,,fold it length wise 2-3 times to make it thick.insert this into the paper feed tray...move it left and right a couple of times..this clears the obstruction if any..
if this does not lexmark tech support,,,your printer would be replaced if in warranty..
good luck

Paper jam message

Turn the printer off.
Take a #10 envelope and feed it through the left side of the manual feed slot until it comes right through the printer to the back of the exit rollers.
. Move it up and down first, and then slowly move it over to the right side. If something is stuck under the black guide plate, this may work it loose.

Good luck...

I have dell 1600 multifunctional jam 1/no cartridge

I have been having the same problem. I almost gave up on this printer. After careful analysis I noticed that if I pulled up on the cartridge while it was inserted and held it up (I took the door off and depressed the door closed button w/ a screwdriver) the printer would work fine.

I shimmed the front of the cartridge w/ a piece of rubber or folded up paper. There appears to be something in the back that doesn't make full contact if you do not do this. Now it works fine.

I haven't had any feed problems, but I kept my shim to the front right and made sure it doesn't go too deep.

Paper will not feed correctly, keeps jamming up.

There IS something stuck in the feed path. If the paper starts to feed and then crinkles on the feed side, there is an object stopping the paper moving forward.

Lay the machine on it's back and take a sheet of very stiff card (A5 size approx) and push it through the paper path in reverse. So start where the paper would normally exit and push the card in. You may need to lift the pinch rollers just behind the print head by hand to aid the card through. Keep the card to the side that would normally crinkle but beware of the paper sensor flag. If you force it you could break it off.

Once you get past the pinch rollers behind the print head, push a little further then start to move the card in and out but along the length of the rollers. You should find that sufficient to push out whatever is in the path and having the machine on it's back will help it fall clear of the feed mechanism.

If it does not fall out using this method you will have to remove the covers and try to remove the ASF to get at the object.
