This is a classic switchmode power supply, which is shutting down the set to avoid a fire, explosion, or both. This set has developed a problem, that is so severe that the set must be shut down, This set should now, be removed from the Power, and in my professional recommendation, you should get a "Quote" for repair, from, an, Approved Service Center, this point is very important for a good result, Always contact, their local, "Head Office" LG, in your case. Now, when you get the information you want, from the "Quote" well, then you can decide as to repair of replacement. The reason we want an approved agent, is that way, all the engineers are trained on their own brand sets, they have seen almost all faults, and will get the job done quicker, and for less cost, and usually have original parts on hand, also sometimes, there has been a service bulletin in issued and the repair may be subsided or even free.

Do you have a friend with a name brand tablet that could come over and test if your wifi can handle streaming? If another tablet gets the same results as your tablet it could be a issue with your wifi access point. I don't use Netflix anymore but can you confirm your new tablet has enough processing power to stream video? Can you stream youtube HD videos?

Tv made sizzle pop sound and went out

All depending on the models, but i have seen and work on may units with this problem, there are a few large capacitors on the power supply that are sometimes doubly secured with glue, that in turn becomes conductive and causes faults like this. check all the large capacitors for any low or nil readings and with a fine point probe, carefully remove the glue on the and around the caos, and elsewhere if you see any. Good Luck.

We were watching a tv program and the tv went black. we cannot get it back on

As a basic troubleshooting technique, technicians first determine if there is high voltage or not upon power up and if there is, if it is sustained high voltage. This basic test can be performed by putting your ear to the back cover of the unit and then turnng on the unit. If you hear a sweeping noise such as that of an air compressor shooting air through a nozzle, it means there is high voltage.

If there is high voltage it it important to determine if the high voltage collapses or not after power up.

If you will et me know results of this test, I can assist you futher.

Brand new LG plasma stuck on test screens

Resetting the TV
If the buttons on the remote AND the buttons on the TV case do not work (channels do not change and you cannot open or navigate the menu), the TV has stopped responding. Reset the TV as follows:

NOTE:
Some TVs have a reset button. If available and accessible, try using the reset buttons before using the steps below. Using the reset buttons can save time.
1. Unplug the TV power cord from the power outlet.
2. Unplug any connected devices (DVD, Set-top boxes, etc...)
3. Press and hold the TV power button for five seconds.
4. Plug the TV power cord back into the power outlet and turn on the TV.
5. Open the on-screen menu to confirm that the TV is responding again.
6. Turn off the TV and reconnect the devices.
7. Turn on the TV.

Hope it may help you;

Regards;

Hello there. I'm sorry to say that it sounds as if the element that actually energizes your screen is bad. It is most likely overheating. or quite poosible the power converter lost a resistor or 2.

Sony triniton 28" crt tv i have got sound but no picture

Any set can be repaired it is the question of the cost and the availability of the parts.

The fuzzy lines with static noise is probably from an arcing in the high voltage multiplier or in the flyback windinngs. I am very sure that the flyback assembly with the high voltage multiplier, and most likely the horizontal output transistor will have to be changed just to start. It is also possible that there may be some failure in the power supply as well.

The set would have to be serviced by an experienced TV tech. As for the cost, it will be a bit expensive.
