Question about HP C4680 All-In-One Inkjet Printer

1 Answer

My HP C4680 is going crazy. It is cycling from "Canceling" to trying to scan, then copy, then it says "Insert memory card". I have completely uninstalled and re-installed this printer twice, as well as downloaded all of the latest drivers for the whole system. What I want to know is if there is a way to wipe the printers memory and reset it to factory defaults.

Hi there if the camera of your phone is working fine it should perfectly works. But sometimes due to over usage of phone memory/ using of virus infected memory card these problem could happen. So, to fix this Remove your memory card, Scan with currently updated antivirus or move/copy all the files of memory card to PC>> Format the memory card and again move/copy all the files to your memory card. But remember before you insert the memory card to your phone Please Restore the phone by selecting "Restore Setting Only" from the phone setting.I hope that this will completely solve your problem,if the camera of your phone is OK.Good luck

I scan a document/picture on my HP C4680 and then cannot find where it is saved... Can you give me any assistance?

Usually the file will end up in:

My Documents (if user is Fred, then Fred's Documents) > My Scans > Folder dated today (ie. 2009-12-21)

Memory card error message

I suspect this is the result of the printer not seeing the computer properly, it sounds like it is assuming you have no other data source so wants the memory card to pull from. Check the USB cable between the printer and your computer for a loose connection. Try unplugging and plugging in the USB cable and power supply. You also could try connecting the USB cable to another port.

If that doesn't work, it may be that the driver was updated by something and now isn't working as well with your system. Reinstall the software program that came with the HP Photosmart C4180. To do this in Windows, uninstall the old program through the "Add/Remove Programs" menu. Insert the CD-ROM that came with the printer and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the reinstallation.
