Cannot play Blackberry 9000 mp3 files on Bluetooth devise

Complete the following steps:
1) Use a search engine or a dedicated download site to find and download a third-party conversion tool. The tool must have the ability to convert the format of the audio or video file to a file format that the Media application can read.
2) Install the third-party conversion tool and follow the program instructions to convert the audio or video file to a format that the Media application supports. Refer to the following tables for optimal settings in the Media application.
Optimal settings for the Media application on the BlackBerry 9000 series smartphones:-
For video setting's
a) Video format: MPEG-4.
b) Video file extension: .avi
c) Resolution (4:3): 240x180
d) Resolution (16:9): 320x180
e) Video bitrate: 400 Kbps
f) Frames per second: 24

For Audio settings:-
a) Audio format: MP3
b) Audio bitrate: 128 Kbps
c) Sample rate: 44 kHz
d) Channels: 2 (Stereo)

Transfer the audio or video file from the computer to the BlackBerry smartphone using one of the following methods:-
1) Using BlackBerry Desktop Manager.
Note: BlackBerry Desktop Manager 4.2 must be installed on the computer.
  1. In BlackBerry Desktop Manager, open BlackBerry Media Manager.
  2. Use the Media Manager tool to transfer the audio or video file to the BlackBerry smartphone using a USB connection.
  3. Copy the files to the appropriate folder (either \blackberry\Music or \blackberry\Video) on the media card, or directly to the internal BlackBerry smartphone memory.
Note: Files larger than 3 MB cannot be transferred to internal BlackBerry smartphone memory.
2) Using the BlackBerry smartphone as a USB mass storage device:-
  1. On the BlackBerry smartphone, go to Options > Advanced Options > Media Card.
  2. Make sure that Mass Storage Mode Support is set to Enabled.
  3. Connect the BlackBerry smartphone to the computer and follow the prompts on the BlackBerry smartphone.
  4. Open the My Computer folder on the computer. The media card should appear there as a Removable Disk.
  5. Copy the files to the appropriate folder (either \blackberry\Music or \blackberry\Video) on the media card.
Using a media card reader
  1. Make sure that the media card reader is connected to the computer.
  2. Insert a media card into the media card reader.
  3. Open the My Computer folder on the computer. The media card should appear there as a Removable Disk.
  4. Copy the files to the appropriate folder (either \blackberry\Music or \blackberry\Video) on the media card.
  5. Insert the media card into the BlackBerry smartphone.

How do i transfer stuff from blackberry curve into the memory card

Open your media manager. Push menu button and select "explore".

Navigate through your device memory until you find the file you want to transfer. Highlight the file, push the menu button and select "move".

Navigate back up the file tree by selecting "up" until you see the memory card folder. Select the memory card folder, and choose the option to "put file here".

Keep in mind, you can not load programs from your memory card. You can only put files there (music, documents, ebooks, etc).

How do i transfer music from pc to bb curve 8300?

You can't put songs that you have bought from apple. You can put songs that you have riped from CD's or downloaded. You need a micro SD card. On the phone go into options: Advance Options, Media Card. Turn mass storage mode on. Now plug your BB into the computer and a little window will open up. open the Blackberry folder then music. Drop and drag your music files into that folder. if your going to use the Desktop software go to google and type: Blackberry Desktop Manager 4.5. This version comes with a media manager. http://crackberry.com/blackberry-desktop-manager-version-4-5-now-available Click on this link or copy and paste the complete link into your browser.
If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it.
Thanks, Joe

Blackberry curve from sprint

I am going to guess that since you can copy some types of media files to your phone then the problem is the format of the video files you want to copy. The phone's media playing application may not show files it cannot recognize.(or show an error message).

If you want to watch videos (or movies) on any type of smart phone or mobile player then I suggest you download a free application called Format Factory. It converts any type of media file to any other type of media file (video, music, pictures, DVDs). It has settings for Blackberry phones, iPods, PsP, etc. Go to: http://www.formatoz.com/ and check it out.

Can i download music from my itunes library to my blackberry curve without a media card

First of all, I hope that you have a memory card in your BlackBerry because 96MB isn't much space to hold any music at all. So, if you do, and you have a USB cable hooked up.. and you can transfer files, then you need a program like "Tunebite" which will automatically switch formats from iTunes to standard MP3 that your Blackberry can recognize and play.

Can't download music from my PC to the Blackberry Curve

Go to the options, then click media card, scroll to Auto Enable Mass Storage and set to prompt. Unplug your BB from USB and plug it back in. It will prompt you with a message "Do you want to turn on Mass Storage Mode? Click yes. Don't click Don't ask this question again. I actually came here to find the solution, then i figured it out. Your "Disk Drive" added will then say Blackberry.

Blackberry Curve 8310 loading ringtones

Two ways:

1. Use the included Blackbery Desktop software and run "Media Manager". This will let you transfer any song on your computer over to the BB.

2. You can mount the BB as a drive in Windows and just copy the music file over directly. (This may only work if you have a media card installed -- might not work with built-in memory only.)

After copying the music over use the included Media application to try to play it. Once it plays in Media Manager you can be sure it will play as a ring tone.

Use the "Profiles" application and select "Advanced." Scroll to the "Tune" setting and select it. Scroll to the top of the list and select "Browse..." From there you can select the song and it will be a ringtone.

You can also set a ringtone individually for a contact in the address book. Edit the person's contact info and choose a custom ring tone at the bottom of the Edit screen.
