On start up you hold CMD + OPTION + O + F and it will take you into the openfirmware witch is the same as bios

To unlock your BIOS you have to remove your BIOS battery for few minutes which is onboard, then replace the BIOS battery again on the motherboard will not only reset the BIOS password to default but will put all the BIOS settings to default. To unlock your BIOS you have to remove your BIOS battery for few minutes which is onboard, then replace the BIOS battery again on the motherboard will not only reset the BIOS password to default but will put all the BIOS settings to default. For which you will have to reconfigure your BIOS settings, but remember any wrong setting in the BIOS may damage your laptop.

Reset cmos bios


Some laptop BIOS can be restored to the factory defaults in the BIOS setting - Default setting.
If your BIOS does not have this option then remove the BIOS battery for 20 or more mins. When you replace the BIOS battery the BIOS will be RESET then go into the BIOS setting scroll to Date & Time to set the current date and time.

I want to reset my bios


If you can get into the BIOS setting then you should be able to click on load default setting.
If you cannot get into the BIOS setting then you maybe able to remove the BIOS battery for 15 mins, replace the BIOS battery and go into the BIOS setting to set the Date & Time.

Clock changes time


The BIOS battery keeps the Date & Time and the BIOS settings from changing. If the BIOS battery is flat then these settings are changed to the factory settings.
Yuo need to insert a new BIOS battery then go into the BIOS setting to set the Date & Time etc.

How do I reset the Bios in my PC?


If you can get into the BIOS setup there maybe a setting to restore the BIOS to the default settings.
If not then remove the BIOS battery for approx 20 mins until the charge in the BIOS has depleted and the replace the BIOS battery. Then go into the BIOS setting and set the Date and Time etc.

This because settings in your BIOS still error during POST..You can just simply set the BIOS setting with setting like 'disable error' or anything else like that. But might be better to check what happened to your BIOS. For example if you dont have Floppy drives then set in BIOS having Floppy drives this will give an error during POST..
Also if you saving the BIOS setting but BIOS wont save. It usually caused by battery, you can just simply replace it.

To reset the BIOS back to the default settings and you cannot locate the reset jumper, just remove the BIOS battery for approx. 30 mins.
This will discharge the battery voltage in the BIOS, then insert the BIOS battery back and you can go into the BIOS configuration and set the Date and Time etc.

Bios problem


Most BIOS settings can be set to the default setup by selecting default settings and save & exit, and if there isn't this option you can remove the BIOS battery for 1/2 + hour insert the BIOS battery, boot up, go into the BIOS setup and configure the BIOS date and time setting.
