Same problem. Working off of Reijose's suggestion (thanks) I had the charging plug in the wall and the phone. That at least stopped the buzzing. Then I started working combos of buttons, turning the phone off and on etc and finally it came back to life. Can't say it was any one combo, but I did press 666 and clear or stop enough times that I might have finally exorcised the demons of of this thing.
Serriously that was the combo of buttons I used, through just by chance more than anything, ha.

when you take it from bowl did you disassamble it and free it from watter and battery? battery must be take off untill phone dry. If battery was in it it may cause some condensation and need to be cleaned.
Also some light flash in sides are when battery discharged, try to recharge it, if don't began charging better take it to any customer care.

This problem is very simple. I see this question continually popping up when the answer is so simple. You pull the battery out of the phone. On the back of the phone their is a sequence of numbers That represent the phone's BDK. (CODE) write down on a piece of paper the last "number" , e.g CODE:055565('8)OK now You connect the phone to its own charger.. the screen will start to turn on (go white). now just before the screen turns on 100% you disconnect the phone from its charger. repeat this method to the amount of times the last number was. In this case we would repeat this method 8 times, because 8 was the last number on the phones code. I hope I have been helpful ;)

the phone might be experiencing some software problem.
try to charge the battery in another phone then insert it back with the sim, then try to turn it on again.
try flashing the phone with a compatible software, then try to turn it on again.
if it does the same, then you should try to take the phone to a nokia service center for further repair.

SOURCE: My Nokia N97 email widget
The Nokia N97 is a great device used one when the phone just got released. The problem with this device is that when you get to many applications on it it starts to freeze up abd act just like how it is now. Best solution out is to free up the phone remove some of the applications on it and reset the email widget. Also download an antivirus application preferably from ovi store. Restore factory settings on the phone and watch how it behaves over the next couple of days and get back to me.
Hope this solution has been helpful?
