I have had my Fantom Lightning vacuum for about 12 years and the power head motor has burnt out. I would like to know how to purchase a new power head as I just love my Fantom. How much are they and can I still buy one?

They do not show the power heads online, but they claim they can get them.
Be well,

I have the power head, wand & hose, exrra belt, 4 heps filters ans a spare main vacuum motor for Fantom Lightning. My main motor burned out. Found a used motor on Ebay. Went to change it and part of wiring was burned, so I decided not to rosk reairs with bad wiring. Power head was not attached at the time, so it is fine. I'll sell all together for a decent price, it you're interested

In Canada I don't know. Parts for the older Fathoms are getting scarce. There is a wholesaler here in the US that has parts, but you have to be a repair shop to buy from them and I don't know if they are in Canada. Call your local repair shops to see if they can get you that circuit board, the co. name here is Essco, or Electric Sweeper Service Co. Wish I could help more.
You will need to contact a vacuum store. The Fantom company went bankrupt years ago and the parts are no longer available. As far as I know, these machines have not been on the market for a long time. I strip these units for any usable parts and hang on to them for this type of situation, but slowly, I've been throwing these parts out, as no one is asking for them. You should consider buying a new vacuum. Stay away from the big box store models. Your best option is to go to a vacuum store. They know what is the best unit for the price and any reputable store won't sell junk. Sorry, but your vacuum is at the end of it's road.
It sounds like you have a hose problem. You should be aware that the Fantom company went bankrupt many years ago. I know that the Fantom name was bought by another company and there may be Chinese units sold under that name, but service and parts availability is an issue. There may be an issue with the power delivery to the powerhead. This is through the hose, from the canister connection and down the wand assy. You should check the continuity from the canister down to the powerhead.
