Question about Apple iPod MA446LL/A MP3 Player

1 Answer

Apple ipod black, froze and can't charge (reply to your solution)

I held down the menu and centre button as advised by the apple website, this does not cure the problem. The ipod makes a whirring noise and displays circle and red x. From what I've read online I gather this means that the hard disk is broken.

Try doing this: Toggle the hold switch and put it back in the off position. Then press and hold the center button and the menu button simultaneously for ten seconds and the apple symbol should come up on the screen. Then it should work like normal. Hope this helps!

I have n ipod nano 2nd generation which has frozen, and although I have toggled the hold button and then held the center button and the play/pause button down it will not reset. Can you tell me what to do...

I toggled the hold key on and off and then held the MENU and CENTRE buttons down until the apple sign came up and it now works fine. I had to do the procedure a few times but it eventually worked.
