Question about Televison & Video
Hope the batteries are OK
To check the hand held remote do as follows. There are two layman method of checking!!
1. Tune your radio to M W band. Set the tuning pointer or dial at
650 khz range. Hold your remote close to the radio and start pressing the keys. If you hear garbled sound on pressing the keys the remote is functioning.
2. Use your mobile phone in, camera movie mode ( video shooting mode ) Point the remote front red screen end towards the camera.Watch the camera screen as you press some keys. If you find a light flshing and goinf off on pressing the keys, the remote is totally OK. To make 100% sure that the hand remote is OK, you have to try in similar mode TV only.
If the hand remote is OK, then the fault could be due to sensor at the TV end is faulty or the IC connected to the not responding etc.
On the item 1 & 2 if the remote is not functioning, open the remote by using screw driver and flip all around the cover from the grooves. If you can access the Printer Circuit Board, clean it with clean water and dry with a blower or hair dryer. Similarly clean the rubber pads also. Do not scrap the carbon track on the board. Good luck!!
