Question about Dishwashers

Our dishlex has been idle for 6 years, we have now found that it will not operate. When powered up the red super wash light functions but no other buttons work. is there a child proof lock on this model or do we have problem with the membrane behind the switches?

It is possible that your assessment is correct as the touch pads have a soft carbon membrane track that goes to the microprocessor. You will need to remove and check to see if the connections are tight.
Clean the pads and try., clean the board with petrol , if you see signs of insect dirts , then wash and reset.
The membrane can be repaired if you can get a carbon pen to trace the track, if not replacement is the best option.

Re lights lit on freezer

Red light lit on freezer means that is not reaches operating temperature.

Most often the old freezer has three indicator lights.
- Green light : that it is brought to a power source and turned on - Red light : means that the temperature is above -18 degrees
- orange light : pressing the so-called SUPER-switch which means that the compressor is running continuously. The SUPER-button switch on a few hours before you begin deep-freeze foods. Freezing time depending on foods quantity (kg). With old freezer must be careful to turn off the switch S (orange light) when the red light goes out or when foods are frozen, otherwise after a few days may burn out the compressor. You should be following the instructions from user manual.
In new freezer managed by the electronics, this function has a predetermined maximum duration, in order to protect the compressor, and can have different marketing names like "shopping".....

After a power outage, the control panel on front has only blinking lights. How do I reset the control panel to control the temperatures?

The control board went into self diagnosis when the power was applied. It found an error in one or more of the systems. You will need a qualified technician to come out and see what the problems is. To bypass this problem for now, press the "Super Freeze" button and the "Super Cool" button together for 6 seconds simultaneously. This operation will put the refrigerator back to normal operation till the power is interrupted again. Good luck.

CathI have a dishlex global 510 and I cant open the door does it have a child lock and if so how do I turn it off so as I can open the door

heres what it says in your manual

Follow these steps to set the Button Lock function:

1. Switch on the appliance.

2. Set a washing program.

3. Start the washing program.

4. Press Button Lock for approximately 5 seconds, or

until the Button Lock indicator light flashes.

5. Button Lock indicator light flashes for approximately

15 seconds.

6. When Button Lock function is active the indicator

light is on with a static light.

At the end of a washing program the Button Lock function

is deactivated by opening and closing the door or

switching off the appliance.

Important! It is not possible to deactivate the Button
Lock function while a washing program is in progress

Dishlex global 300. ECO light flashing.

if that fails then try emptying the over flow try found behind the kick panel below the door. 2 phillips screws will be found either side under plastic screw covers, behind kick panel you will find the cover for all internals remove a total of 6 screws from these covers, then with a torch you will see the internal workings of the machine. located at the bottom of it all is a small kidney shaped tray that may have some/alot of water. this is the over flow tray. empty by soaking up the liquid with a sponge. reassemble then try starting it.

Put detergent in a dishlex dishwasher now the pump stays on a& the dishwasher does not work, just displays a flashing red eco light

Hello jack SparWelcome,

You said, Put detergent in a dishlex dishwasher now the pump stays on a& the dishwasher does not work, just displays a flashing red eco light

What is the BRAND and MODEL Number and year of your dishwasher. Model can be found on sticker inside.

Did you turn off the power at the breaker for 5 minutes to see if it resets the system?
If this is not the case, Please explain!
What do you mean the pump stays on?????????????????????????

If it is not getting water and not working then these may be the problem
Water source turned off
Check to ensure the water source is turned on and water is getting to the water inlet valve.

Float switch
The float switch allows water to enter into the machine to a point where the float will rise up off of the switch and disconnect power to the water inlet valve. If the switch is defective or the float is stuck in the up position, the water will not enter into the machine

Defective water inlet valve

If there is 110v across the two wires on the water inlet valve when the machine is set to fill, the valve should open and the water should enter into the machine. If the water does not enter, the valve is defective.

Defective Timer

The timer is a series of switches that controls all machine functions. If one of the contacts in the timer is defective, the machine will lose that function. knowledge of the the use of a vol/ohmmeter is essential to testing the timer as well as the ability to read the timer sequence chart that is supplied with the machine. In most cases this requires a professional technician.
