Question about Audio Players & Recorders
Fixing the hum: Check that the multiway connector inside (has 8 blue wires) that connect the rear PCB is fitted OK, there have been cases, that it has been pulled out by the cable tie on one end (the earth end) on the main board - fix by cutting the tie and dumping the remains, resite the connector....

Your capacitors may be blown , if its a solid state amplifier ..
if its tube version (best) , you may have blown a tube
what model number is it , manufacturer ?
