I have a 1999 Mitsubishi Diamante and need a code to operate the stereo. The battery was changed and now a code is needed? How do I find this code?

Look in your owners manual in the glove box. It also might be on a card printed in a gray or white oval (usually).

Should be a 4 or 5 digit number (They look like they are printed with a really crappy injet printer)

If you cannot find anything in the glove box, you can bring it to a Mitsubishi dealer and they can look it up for you if this is the original radio that came with the car.

You enter the number by pressing the corresponding "preset" radio station buttons.

Good luck and please rate me.

What's the code for the radio on a 1995 Mitsubishi diamante

I own a 1994 Mitsubishi 3000GT and I have to enter the code every time I disconnect the batter in order to use the radio. The previous owner lost the code slips, so I had to go to a Mitsubishi dealer to get the code reset and get new code slips. Good Luck!

I HAVE 97 MITSUBISHI DIAMONTE AND FEW DAYS AGO I DIDN'T CLOSE PASSAGER SIDE DOOR ALL THE WAY AND NEXT MORNING I FOUND OUT MY BATTER WERE DEAD. AFTER RECHARGED BATTRERY, EVERYTHINGS WORKING AS NORMAL EXCEPT...

Many radios have theft protection that require a code once power is lost. Look in the owner's manual, as it should be written down by whomever installed it.
Otherwise anyone selling that brand of radio can just reset the code to a new one, and tell you the new code.

Radio Code

Hi!

Try resetting the radio first. If it still doesn't help then try this--

  1. Take out the front panel off that surrounds the radio and temperature buttons, it will snap straight out.
  2. Get the serial number off the radio. It is on a sticker on the top, left side.
  3. Call Mitsubishi with the serial number. They will ask for proof of ownership, so have the title ready.
  4. Input the 4 digit code and enter it by pressing cd button.
  5. Also, try to find it written in the owners manual on the back pages.
Please rate this solution.

Thanks
