Olympus SP-310 Digital Camera screen is dar...

Previously taken pictures can be viewed on the screen, but in picture-taking mode, display screen is dark. When a picture is taken, the flash goes off, but no picture is displayed on the screen. When I tried to preview the photo just taken, nothing shows up. I've tried every shooting mode, including video, and still no results. Doesn't matter if external memory card is inserted or not.

Help! i have a olympus digital camera 400 digital is the style name...i cant look at the pictures ive taken previously help
