My pc laptop has no display on the sceen when it starts up but the start up tone for windows xp comes on the pc starts. So please help mi find the driver hp550 laptop graphics diver

Restart and hold down F8 before it gets to windows logo. That will start it in safe mode. Then if you can see the display, the issue is with the display adapter driver,

please reinstall the system s2, and after try to install s3.if not work then s2 maybe is enough to your hardware.

turn off your antivirus before you try to revert back to xp. your system antivirus might see this as an attack on your windows 7,thus it won't allow you to install a different system.

Since you have reinstalled the OS and it didn't fix the problem. It most likely your computer having one or more hardware failure. You need to check each of your computer component to find where is the problem.

If the laptop gets turn on and if you are able to hear the windows start up tone then the display drivers may be corrupted. So connect the laptop to external monitor. If the display comes on the external monitor then you can perform the system restore.
It will get your display back to normal.

The modem settings can be accessed through the windows control panel as follows:

•Opening the Control Panel
The Windows Control Panel can be opened by:
Selecting *Start > Control Panel (on Windows Vista)
- OR -
Start > Run > Type 'Control' and select OK (on Windows XP)

In the Control Panel, do the following:
•Select Phone and Modem Options (Brings up the phone and modems properties sheet)
•Click on the 'Modems' tab
•Highlight the modem's name
•Click the properties button
•Look for the words 'Device Status' on that page.
If the message box says 'This device is working properly' then the modem is working ok. The Phone and Modem Options also has a tab called 'Dialing Rules'. The dial tone might work if you 'Edit' the existing Dialing Rule or Create a 'New' Rule. When you 'Edit' or create a 'New' rule, enter the requested information as best you can. You can always go back and 'Edit' the rule to keep testing it. I hope this gives you some ideas for resolving the dial tone problem.

you may have damaged the computer if it fell as you say. As for installing windows Xp that should not be a problem did you download driver first and burn a CD. If not get on another computer and donwload driver for your laptop burn them on a CD then install your drivers for XP that way you have the right drivers and it should work if not damaged inthe fall.

Sorry , but no, the tone is a trademark, and is built into the program to play at start up. It will play automatically every time without any way of changing or disabling it.

That error message means. You must have tried to boot up to a floppy diskette. The diskette ( 's ), were made with a defective floppy drive.To re-download the Setup Disks for Floppy Boot Install of Win XP click the link below:

Option if you have a cdrom in notebook & a real Win XP CD. Put the win xp cd in the cdrom drive. Start the Pc laptop & press the F8 key every two seconds. Windows will display a boot up option menue. Choose the cdrom. Win XP will start the installation.

OK....in XP Home and PRO SP2 a bug cause this to give vga shift.....reinstall OS with XP SP1 and the problem would be solved....there is currently no solution for this. JJ
