Question about Canon Rebel XT / EOS 350D Digital Camera
When I try and turn on the camera, NOTHING, NOTTA...I bought this camera used, and it worked the first day. I took the battery to my local camera store and they said the battery was fine, but had no idea what could be wrong with it. It seems like the camera is not giving any response to having the battery in it.
Unfortunately it happens on the eos cameras now and again,
see this article, it relates to the 300d but there all fairly similar and the fault occurs on all the eos range..

Take a strong light and look into the slot where the CF card is placed. See if any of the pins are bent or touching each other. If the camera senses a fault in memory card communication, it may not power up.
Also check the battery contacts in the camera. If you can see any corrosion/discoloration of the contacts, try and clean them up with a pencil eraser.
Otherwise, it looks like you have done what is possible without taking the camera apart. Check into getting it serviced.
