Question about Garden

Open Question

My John Deere 400 won't move. It was working fine and when I was changing directions it stopped working. If I raise the wheels off the ground and shift it, the wheels turn like they should, but it doesn't have enough force to move the machine, I can hold the wheels from turning with my hands. It did not lose power gradually, it happened all at once. It has plenty of fluid in it. The transmission is a Sundstrand model 90-1142, serial # 04-PC 55229. I thought it might be a relief valve open but I don't know where it is. Where can I get a repair manual or parts list, I have spent hours on the net looking for info and have found nothing.

Just bought a John Deere 325 mower. Deck will not raise or lower. Center knob is locked up will nor turn either direction. Lever that raises deck does nothing. I got no manual with it. Used

Study the mechanism and linkage for moving the deck and then take appropriate action. If you see how it works and familiarize yourself with it you will know what to do in such times. You might also consider getting a service manual or Googling the issue.

John deere 4310 temperature gauage not working

Thermostat in 4310 did nt help

I don't know about next move, but my first move would have been to check and clean the connection to the temp. sensor and ground.

We have had several machines do this, sometimes going up dramatically in temp. readings.

It turned out each time to be a change in resistance in the circuit. The temp. sensor changes resistance as it warms and cools, this means that when the circuit gets some corrosion or dirt in there the temp. reading changes too.
