Hey ohsnapsimone,
You can definitely take it to a Best Buy™ store and the Geek Squad® precinct can send it out for service, but I would make sure your battery is charged first. Another cause of the camera just shutting down is if the camera gets to hot it will just shut down. I hope this helps!

Sincerely,
Allan

Blurry pictures and beeping noises

It could be the lens is damaged on the inside (Gears and so).
But before you make any conclusion. try to switch the camera to auto mode and make sure the camera is not in the macro mode.
To start, switch of the camera, remove the batty and leave it out several seconds. perhaps you also should charge the battery on an external charger, but if you are sure it is charged, after a few moment reinsert the battery. Then switch the camera to the automatic mode and check if it is not in Macro. (when you see the flower on the screen it is in macro)
If it is still acting the same you made the right conclusion in the question above. (I hope you are wrong but if not, you start looking for another camera)

Your batteries are dead. You can buy them buy doing a search for your model number on your camera, and it will tell what batteries to use.

Says lens error!!!!!

The best solution is to take it to Best Buy and have them look at it. The Kodak camera could still be under warranty.

Flash symbol & green circle next to it...

Hi groovychica.
I like that name.
Dropping the camera is the the number 1 reason for digital camera failure due to the delicate lens assembly's.
Unfortunately it will probably cost you more to fix, than replace.
You can check this site for a repair shop that will give you a repair quote, but you won't like it, sorry.

Do not buy a used camera on eBay as it may have been dropped also.( new is OK) It happened to me
Try Pricewatch or Amazon, I have purchased a few from both sites and found some very good deals for my friends. You can also check the Olympus online store, They often have some awsome prices on clearance models.

The good news is that the prices on the Olympus FE series
has dropped ( no pun intended ) considerably, especially last years models, like yours.
I wish I could have been more helpfull.
Best regards Paul

Beeps 3 times

Is it an actual beep, or is it a beeping noise coming from the lens? Does the lens extend? I ask this because this is the noise the lens focus gears make when they are knocked out of alignment, or debris gets in them and jams them.

Stuck Lens, Beeping, Auto Turn-Off

The same thing happened to me. It was my wife's camera so I bought her a new one and planned to send the damaged camera in for warranty repair. I took the batteries out and put it back in the box. About 5 months later, just as I was planning to ship it to Canon, I thought I would put batteries back in it and see what happened. It started working and has worked since. Ron

Lens stuck

If the lens is not coming out, its stuck, or it wont completely open or close, that is the lens assembly, that needs to be repaired. You need to take it to somebody, that can either repair it or replace it for you. There is nothing that can be done, other than that......
