If you;re saying that the printer wont power ON , this is a sign of a hardware failure on the printer or with the power adapter that you have.

So the first thing that you can do here is try connecting the printer on a different power outlet and also try a different power cable and if still printer wont power on the power supply on the printer is bad and needs repair and replacement.

The Officejet J5780 has a error message of out of paper@

First of all make sure there is no paper pieces stuck inside the printer. Now ..!

Unplug the power cable ofthe printer.
Unplug the USB cable from the Back of the printer and make sure it is stand alone printer.

Now,
Take out the duplex-er ( A box at the back of the printer which has two buttons at the ends of it which you can press to detach it from the printer :- It is used for duplex printing ) from the back of the printer.
Once you take it out you can see the ROLLERS and the ROD which takes the printer page and rolls back to give you the out put.

Take a lint free cloth and clean the rod and rollers. Try to move the rollers in clock wise or anti clock wise direction. If it moves fine Other wise hardware issue.

It just started blinking and says the printer is offline

If it says printer is offline, it usually means your printer is not connected to the PC. Blinking printer light means there is a problem with the printer (usually paper jam) or with the ink. Check the ink cartridge. Take the cartridge out and put it back in. Make sure you also check the USB cable that goes from your printer to the PC, take it out and put it back in. Also, try to turn off the printer, take it out of the power outlet for 30 seconds and put it back in. If you have a power strip, don't use it, try plugging it directly to the power outlet on the wall and turn it back on.
