You need to do a few basic checks to see if it is the element or maybe a safety. I recently did a video of a Roper electric dryer that would run but not heat:

HE5 dryer has no heat - everything else appears to work, tube spins , controls can be set, start. But no heat. Purchased new in early 2008, may be used 2 times / week.

Several reasons this could be. There is a separate fuse for the heating element inside the unit...find it and check it. Second...The element works on a 220v system whereas the spinning and lights work on regular 110. Check the 30 amp breaker in the house. Third, the element is bad and needs to be replaced. There are only 3 or 4 major parts to a dryer. There are easy to repair if you take the time to get the repair manual and study it.

Gas dryer is spinning but won't get hot what can I do before calling for repair?

Disconnect the vent tubing and check for any clogged up areas. That will prevent the heat to work vis the moister control sensor. Clogged vents are the number one reason why dryers do not heat up while spinning

Kenmore Elite dryer won't heat

if no heat at all unplug the dryer take off the vent take out the screws holding the back on there is a long oval shaped tube with two wires going into it there is a holding bracket holding it in place take out the screw unhook the wires take out a screw holds the heating coil in take out that screw inspect the heating coil for breaks it sounds like it is burned out if so replace if not it is probably the oval shaped thermostat on the tube i do hope that this was helpful then reverse the procedure, thank you.

No heat, the drum spins

Sounds like your problem is with the heating coil.
If you plan to try to repair the problem yourself, then the first thing you want to do is unplug the dryer from the electric.
Remove the back of the machine and try to locate the air tube going from the blower to the drum. Normally inside the air tube you will find the heating coil and the thermostats/thermistor.
Once you have located the heating coil, remove the two wires from it and check the coil with a continuity meter across the two terminals of the coil.
You should read continuity across the terminals, if not you will need to replace the coil as it is faulty.
Good Luck,
Hope this helps

Dryer turns on and spins, but no heat.

Take the back off the dryer. Will will see a metal tube running from the bottom of the dryer to the top. This will have a fuze at the top and a thermostat at the bottom, and the heating element is inside the tube. Check the ohms on the fuze and the heating element. Replace the one that has no continuity.

Thermostat, High limit and low limit thermostat or even a safety Temp limiter. All three are similar in cost and located on the back inside of the dryer and 1 by the airflow tube under the lint trap.
