Question about Lands Phones
Have had new BT landline installed and it works ok except that the phone doesn't ring. The only way I can tell a call is coming in is that the answerphone clicks on. I've tried the line with a different phone (no ring), without the answerphone (no ring) and I've tried the phone on a different landline - it rings! So despite what the phone company says (they test the line and it tells them it's working) it seems to me that there's a problem with the installation. Does anyone know if the telephone engineer should have "switched on" the ring facility in some way?
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
