Question about NetGear GS605 5x1000 Mbps Networking Switch
My netgear gs605 is Not Wroking. The power is green which is good, but none of the lans are green. i have2 computers connected to the modem. when i connect the ethernet cable directly to the PC it works fine. please help!
Connect back the computer to the router and modem to router,
then try and ping your router from the pc . go start, run, cmd, enter
at the command line type ping 192.168.0.1 if that is the gateway ip which is your router ip(what ever your router ip is it usally tells you in the manual).
ip you can't ping your router has lost its mind, try entering the setup
for your router by typing in the routers ip address in the browser, follow the setup according to manufacture, do a firmware upgrade while there, reboot the router, and that should work.
if you had power outages recently the router is probably fried so you can have it for breakfast. lol
let me know if this helps. smiles

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
