How old is this television?

Assuming this set is 4-6 years old, this sounds like a convergence problem.

This is very common at this age. The convergence circuit in the TV is in need of
repair, which would range around USD$400.00 for your model. The 43FWX20B is a great model and well worth a repair.

If you are comfortable with soldering and using a multimeter, you could try this repair yourself, but note that there are life-threatening voltages inside your set. It should only be opened and serviced by a knowledgeable professional.

Yes, it is a convergence circuit problem.

The left side of screen is blurry.

These sets need to have all three colors - RED - BLUE - GREEN - lined up correctly on the screen in order for the picture to look normal. This is called convergence.

When its out of alignment the video will look 3-D, wavy, distorted, etc. Most of the time you just need to adjust your convergence in the menu. If you cannot adjust it in the menu - then your convergence is broken and needs to be repaired.

Convergence problems are very common on all Projection TV sets including Sony2_bing.gif,Samsung, JVC, Philip Magnavox, Panasonic, Akai, Pioneer2_bing.gif, Hitachi, Zenith, and others. You can get a convergenece repair kit wiith instructions from the links below.
