For a schematic go to Dayton Furnaces on the internet and type in your model # and you should be able to download a parts diagram. The plenum you can buy at your local hardware store.

Hi I've been looking for a thermal coupler unit for my Dayton gas garage heater. Could not find it so I came to this site. Just need a bit of advice plz on how to replace part and part # Thankyou.

See if you can find the specifications or schematics for your heater, it will tell the info about your thermocoupler. I have, learned that most are the same. Personally, I would use one from a water heater.

Hi,
Call this number 1-800-323-0620 That is the Grainger Parts line. The Dayton units are all made for Grainger.
They will be able to tell you (1) if the unit can be converted.
(2) If the parts are available to convert that unit.
(3) You will also be able to order the parts directly from them if they are available.

I hope that this will help you to solve your problem!

Thanks for using Fixya!!

The white is the common neutral, it is probably a 3 wire unit, and you are missing the ground wire. Check inside the control panel and see if someone wired it using the white wire for the ground, it will be screwed into a terminal lug. Check the schematics to see if the unit requires a common neutral to run the controls.

Dayton 175k heater

the air pressure is not correct on either units.the photo cell DOES NOT look for light any more,it count the light flashes.if the flame is not in the right possition the heater will shut down....after the unit ignites the ignitor is no longer used to keep the unit working, just the fuel that is being fed to the flame ball.that's why the pressure is so inportant.......
