Your internal card reader needs to be plug into an empty internal usb plug on the motherboard. You may or may not have one of those available. Check your motherboard manual. You might find this helpful, the plug will look just like the one in this picture. But i would still recommend checking out your motherboard manual. Especially depending on the age of your machine. Lately the plugs on the board have been standardized but Some older boards had pins switched around. Plugging it in wrong could short the port, or at the very worst and least likely, short the board.
