I have the e15 report on the machine. I know its probably the fiter blocked, Can you give me more detailed instructions on how to clear he blckage. Do you reckon I could do it myself? I'm average at these things but willing to give anything a go once. Thanks Robert
I found this manual,if you know what your problem is this might show how to change the faulty bit. I dont know what machine this is but they all seem pretty simular, i used this to change my door lock.

What brand dishwasher? Model number might help too.
If it is a Bosch this might be the answer.
The E15 fault code means that the dishwasher is not receiving water through the water supply hose, or at least that what the machine thinks anyway.
E15= Check Water Inlet supply*
This can be caused by several reasons.
1. The filters in your inlet hose or inlet valve are blocked and need cleaning.
2. The inlet water supply valve is faulty and worn out, not allowing water in fast enough in relation to the set amount of time it takes to fill the machine for washing etc..
3. The water supply isnt turned on fully underneath the sink?
You will need to undo the water inlet hose from under the sink and check to see if there is a filter in that end of the hose and check to see if it needs cleaning. It will be of the wire Gauss type.
If not, then you will need to uninstall the dishwasher and pull it out from the cabinet to check the inlet valve where the inlet hose connects to at the bottom rear of the machine.
The valve itself will have a filter, where the hose attaches to. Undo the hose and visually check the filter in the valve for blockage/restrictions.
If the above brings no results, then you probably need a new inlet valve for the dishwasher.
It's probably just caked with powder or conditioner and needs cleaned. Your handbook gives instructions on how to remove the drawer. Alternatively the dispenser to drum inlet hose may be blocked and some hot water may clear that.
I'm going to assume this is an SMS GV640 bosch, E15 indicates there is water in the base under the tank and therefore a leak. Pull the front of the machine onto a towel and pivot the whole machine forward (ie lift the back off the floor at about 45 degrees). If you see water flow from under the machine, you have a leak. You may find the the machine will now seem to work, but you will have to trace the leak or it will activate the flood device and give you E15 again.
Either drain motor is blocked with product, or motor is actually faulty. Remove front kick panel to locate drain motor. Normally small white motor attached to the frame by 3 screws. Once off, remove obstruction (careful not to lose or dislodge the o ring. major leak otherwise.).If obstruction not found, check pipe for blckage. If all clear, possibly motor is defective.Need to check motor manually. Reinstall then test.
Hi, - fixed this myself. Problem was a blocked pipe from front of drum to pressure switch. - The machine was fooled in to thinking it had water in when it hadnt! - hence the error 15. that was also why it would not fill. - im guessing the heater blew because it was on with no water to keep it cool!
E15 means that it is not draining fast enough. As well as checking the outlet pipes, check the filter leading to the pump. Disconnect the power and pipe. If possible take outside because there will be a residual amount of water. Remove the back panel, then disconnect the locking rings holding the tubes on. Your main target should be the big downflow rubber tube from the drum, in here is a plastic filter. In mine I found a child's sock... plus buttons...plus slime. Problem solved.
The problem is your pump or filter is blocked. Power off the mains. The filter is located behind the silver plate at the back of the machine at the bottom.Four screws hold it on.Drain out all the water. The filter is inside the big black rubber hose attached between the pump and the main drum. Remove the plastic clip holding it to the pump unit and then the metal cir clip holding it to the main drum. Inside is a white molded cone and a big white ball which floats. You will find a lot of junk here, clean out thoroughly. To refit put white cone back inside just as you found it, at the bottom, fit ball back into the cone. Attach to the bottom to the drum and re-fasten the cir clip. Finally reconnect the gator to the pump unit and tighten the plastic clip. Check out the pump too before reconnecting. And rate me plz……………………….
I'm not sure which key is used on that model but look for a key that says one of these: menu/user settings/reports/program.
what you are really trying to do is get to your reports programming section, then select tx report, then choose print tx report and will fix your problem, you may want to change you fax number if that number changed also.
