Incorrect GB space free amount and space used. Doesnt change as I delete more files.

You may have hidden files on the drive. Unhide them by hitting the Alt key and going to tools

Select Folder Options

Go to "View" and select the two indicated options below and hit OK.

This will unhide what ever files you have. If you dont find the files taking up your space, just copy what ever files you need to your hard drive temporarily or another USB drive and format the disk.

Need more space on drive.

If this is your main boot drive and you are using the Windows operating system then there is a very good utility call DiskMax which is free to use and can help to clean up a wide range of files which accumulate over time but which can be safely deleted to give more space.

Another helpful utility is Advanced System Care Free which includes a Toolbar utility called Disk Explorer which will identify where your disk space is being used and where the largest files are held.

You should be able to safely delete any video, music, picture files.

My hard disk c: drive 100%. free space is zero.i delete my tem file and others un necessary file.but free space show 678MB.why

If you manually deleted the Temp files, there are still many more which are hidden from your view. You can use system utilities like Ccleaner or TuneUp. (Click Here to Download Ccleaner), install it and run the "Run Cleaner", you'll see how much space is freed up from your computer, i.e from C: drive.

You also need to understand that all the files saved on the Desktop, My Documents, etc.. are saved on C: Drive, All Programs installed are also installed on the same drive if you didn't select the installation directory during the installation.

If possible, move files from My Documents, including My Pictures, My Music, My Videos etc.. to other Drive, i.e other partition.

If you need further help, let me know.

Good luck.

Thanks for using FixYa.

My drive c is full and drive d is empty on acer aspire 5633 wlmi what can i do

If your recycle bin holds any unnecessory files deleted previously, clean it. A file deleted normally goes to the recycle bin and doesn't give you back the space it holds. Thus to free that space you need to clear the recycle bin.

If the above method is not helpful open my computer right click your C: drive and click properties. You will find a disk Clean up button near the usage pie chart graph click it. It will calculate space to be cleaned and a disk clean up window appears in the files to delete list box select your choices. At this stage if you don't need your previos restore points except for the last one, it would free more space. To do that click on the more options tab at the top of the form and at the bottom you will see system restore. Click the Clean up button and confirm your action. Wait a while the buttons might not be responive at most for a minute depending on your computer's speed. Now move your mouse over the Ok button if it is active click Ok. This will give you some space back.

Otherwise Back up your files to the D drive first. What you do is copy the files from where you stored them to the D drive first. When done copying Delete the files on the C drive using Shift Key + Delete. ( I prefer copying than moving the through the cut command, because if in case the operation aborts in the middle of the process of moving, you will find it very hard to keep yor folder organizations as they were.

This means your Harddrive(HDD) is nearly full with files and there is no more room to save/work on the harddrive.
You will have to delete some saved files or to uninstall some programs that you are not using anymore, this will create some free space on your HDD. Also do a right click on the Recycle bin/Empty recycle bin and it wil clear some space... If you need more help, let me know, I am happy to help you...
