Question about Acer Extensa 500T Notebook
My laptop is coming on but i am not seeing anything on the screen. i can make out a fade out line in the back ground. I was told may be it is the LCD screen and inverter. what do u think? And how can i locate the part to order it? urgent
This is a problem I have experienced with my HP laptop as well. I found some info on this and was told that it was the inverter. I managed to fix this by finding the inverter and, unplugging both ends of it and plugging it back in. This fixed the problem and a week later its still working!
The inverter is usually located at the bottom of the screen. To access it you need to unscrew the screws around the screen. This will involve removing the plastic covers and simply unscrewing them.
Once you have removed the plastic cover from around the screen, you should see the inverter at the bottom. Re-seat the connectors, and see if this fixes it. If not, replace with inverter. The site below is an example of where you can buy one.
This may help you with the process
Hope this helps, let me know
