Hi,

Make sure that you VGA/DVI card is in the motherboard slot properly, also just check that your power cord and plug on the back of the P.C is connected properly.

Thanks

Windows will not install if you have more then 4GB of memory. Reconfigure the ram so it only has 4 GB and it should install.

You need to search or repost with manufacturer and / or make of hardware.

Example; ACER and model no of pc, or ASUS and model number of mother board.

I want to install win xp on VPCEE29FX/BI

Operating System: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit CPU Type: AMD Phenom II Triple-Core P820 1.8G Why would you want to "downgrade" from the high-performance 64-bit version of Windows 7 to Windows XP?

XP probably won't support the "triple-core" processor, nor the sound-card, nor the video-card, nor the USB ports. This would leave you with a very CRIPPLED computer.

Don't try it!

Hi there,

The maximum RAM supported by this motherboard is 4GB if you are running a 32bit operating system on this processor and a maximum of 16GB if you are running a 64bit operating system.

Thank you for using FixYa! Have a great day and please remember to rate this solution.

The DDR1 is now Obsolete. I suggest you to purchase entire motherboard with processor, RAM and graphics card. As it is one time investment, try purchasing Quad-Core CPU's with atleast 4GB of RAM.

I installed a AMD Phenom(tm) 9950 Quad-Core Processor which runs at a speed of 2.6 ghz but windows xp pro is only reading it at 1.3 ghz. I also have 4 gigs of ram but windows xp is only reading 2.75. The...

There seems to be some sort of incompatibility issue between your motherboard and the Phenom, or maybe some option is not enabled in the motherboard bios that windows is only sensing half of the GHz, like if the processor is only running 2 cores instead of 4.

About the memory diference, that same problem is because the 64bit difference. Unless you have a 64bit XP you won't see the full 4GB. Windows XP is limited to 3 or 3.5GB of ram it can use, you are showing 2.75 maybe because some video board is integrated in your motherboard and it may be borrowing an extra 0.25GB from the 3GB that are usable under windows XP 32bit OS.

Please comment what motherboard you have, since the cpu alone can't be blamed nor configured.
