Hi, i tried all the solutions on connecting the phone with PC, but it didn't work. My PC can recognize it as external drive - so there is nothing wrong with USB connection and i can do the 'darag and drop' of MP# or picture using Explorer. But when i open LGSync application, it said CAN NOT CONNECT TO MOBILE PHONE, CHECK CONNECTION and all the menu is grey. I also want to know how can we install new application such as game?
Thanks in advance,
Have the same problem with KE970 mobile Menu - Settings - Connectivuty - USB Connection - Data Service But stiil LG Mobile Sync cannot connect,,,
my lg ku250 is ready but it sync is always failed? what i need to do?
I have an LG 970 with precisely this stupid problem. In many, many ways, this phone is a complete nuisance. This particular stupidity is a phone setup issue, it cannot be a Mass storage Device and a Data Service at the same time.
Phone, Menu, 9 Settings, 4 Connectivity, 3 USB connection, ...
- select "Mass storage" if you want to access images, sounds etc using Windows Explorer, just like any other USB stick
- select "Data service" if you want to use the LG Mobile Sync application

first install the PC suite and connect your mobile with system at first time it installs the needed drivers after installation completes restart your system and then do this to enusre the modem is installed
control panel ---> phone and modem -->> modems
select the installed driver something it named nokia phone modem. select go to properties---> query modem if the process is success. create packet data connection in PC suite, connect and enjoy
The Cable modem must be disconnected from the computer. You cannot use USB and Ethernet at the same time.
1. Turn off power to the Cable Modem and the Netgear Router. Do the same with the computer. 2. Connect an ethernet cable from the modem to the router's WAN (Internet) port. 3. Connect another ethernet cable from one of the remaining 4 LAN ports on the router to the computer's ethernet port.
4. Now power on the Cable Modem ONLY. Wait for the modem to sync up with your service provider 5. After about 2-5 minutes power up the router and wait about 1-2 minutes. 6. Now power on your PC.
Check and see if you have internet access. If not you may have to uninstall any cable modem software related to USB connection. if this is the case, then you may have to repeat steps 4-6.
Since most cable internet providers do not use proprietary connection settings, your internet connection should be up and running without changing any settings in the router or modem.
If this does not resolve your issues, we can continue to work with you.
It is possible to connect the device and make it appear as a removable disk or mass storage device. The same as connecting a USB drive to the computer. To do that, go to Start > Settings > USB Connection mode on the phone. Choose Mass Storage and My storage in the drop down list. If you have a storage card, it will alse appear in that list. Now, all you have to do, is connect your device, open Windows Explore on the computer to copy/paste your pictures to the location you want. Again, this is a much faster way to transfer a lot of files rather than using WMDC to sync.
Turn everything off for 2 minutes, cable modem, router and pc.
Turn on modem and wait 2 minutes for the modem to sync to TW. Turn on router after 2 mins and wait until the router syncs with the modem. Turn on PC It sounds like your router lost its connection to the cable modem, which happens from time to time. TW will not help with your router. I worked for a cable co and the router and modem losing sync was the at least 70% of the calls. FYI cable doesn't use DSL,just the phone co.
Alternately, you need to install the USB drivers supposedly saved in the phone memory when shipped from the factory. Likewise saved is a copy of PhoneSuite which must be copied/installed in your PC. This solution was actually posted elsewhere here in FixYa by monir.
Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.
I had the same problem but now i have found the solution for it. Its not the software its the phone. Go to your Phone Settings hit Connectivity and then Usb Connection select Data Service and now connect your phone to the pc and select connect in Mobilesync and it should work. After you are done using MOBILE SYNC you can simple go in settings once again and choose mass storage for any downloads!!!
