That means that the camera recognizes that it's connected to a computer. You need to control the download process from the computer while the camera just sits there saying "MSDC".

Vivicam 8025 what does the MSDC screen mean while charging

The MSDC indicates that the camera has recognized it's connected to a computer.

The red light indicates that the camera's battery is charging.

What does msdc mean?

MSDC is not limited to just the Vivitar V-8225p Digital Camera. MSDC stands for Mass Storage Device Class. It allows the camera to communicate with the computer, and this error usually shows up when you're plugging it in your computer, which roughly just means that the computer cannot communicate with the camera.

The best solution I would have for you is to buy an external SD card reader, which would remove this problem entirely.

I just bought the camera and am trying to charge it. I am not getting an LED light but instead a blue screen that says "MSDC" in white letters. I have checked the battery and storage disk...

Are you charging it by plugging it into a computer? The "MSDC" you see usually means "Mass Storage Device Class", which basically means the computer is using the storage on the camera as a removable drive. This would usually happen when plugging a camera into the computer via USB. There is usually an AC adapter that comes with a camera, or a separate charger for just the battery. If there was no charger that came with it, the camera is probably still charging. If the camera is on, try turning it off and plugging it in. Remember, even if it shows "MSDC", it is probably still charging. Hope this helps!

How do you turn the flash on? vivitar x024 camera

Press the Flash/Up button repeatedly to cycle through the different flash modes. Your choices are Auto (lightning bolt and letter "A"), Force Flash (lightning bolt), Red eye reduction (eyeball), and No Flash (lightning bolt in circle with slash through it).

I have a vivitar 8025 camera it has on the screen msdc what does this mean?

The MSDC option in digital cameras stands for Mass Storage Device Class. It is one of the many subclasses of the USB computer peripheral connection protocol.
This class as implemented in digital cameras, allows a connection between a computer and a digital camera by showing the digital camera, when connected to the computer, as a removable disk drive, temporarily attached to the computer. Pictures taken are retrieved using either cut and paste, copy and paste or drag and drop from the digital camera's picture folder onto a real hard drive or other writeable media available in the computer.

Whenever i try to upload a picture with my Vivitar vivicam X327 my computer says it doesnt understand it and my camera says MSDC

This is a Manufacturing problem. This has also happened to me and there is no repair. (Sorry). A lot of Vivitar cameras have this problem as well as many others that are usually not the consumers fault. Just a glitch in the technology. I alone have gone through four Vivitar cameras in the last six months. The best thing to do is contact Vivitar directly. This is there website: www.vivitar.com It is best to see if you can find the number for technical support. To see if they can give you a refund or replace it for you. I hope this helps. -Richard
