Either the laser lens eye is dirty or the circuit is faulty.
Try opening the disc tray, blow inside real hard 3 times and try it. You can also purchase a can of air duster and blow the laser lens eye off.
Another way is to remov ethe cover and clean the lens eye with rubbing alcohol and a cotton swab. If cleaning doesn't help, then the circuit is faulty. You can likely get one from partstore . com or etech . com for a reasonable price.
