If that still doesn't work, try a cold reset with the card installed (hold down the green button as you power on, in 5-10 seconds the display will flash cold reset and you can let go and see if the printer comes to ready) Good luck! :)

Try removing the JetDirect card, then see if the machine will boot and print a test page. If it works without JetDirect, then try replacing the JetDirect card.

Hp designjet error message 5.10

The 04C*** error is an internal data bus error. The hard disk drive and the Jetdirect card share this bus. With the power off, disconnect the HDD and remove the Jetdirect card. Power up and see if the error goes away and the plotter goes to ready. If it does, put the HDD and Jetdirect card back into the plotter one at a time and power up again to identify the failing part. If the error continues with the HDD and Jetdirect card removed, the bus controller has died and the main logic board needs to be replaced. Any of these parts can be ordered from: http://www.lpscomputer.com/c-654-designjet-1050c-1055cm.aspx

Trying to connect a hp designjet t610 to a network using a usb

You cant from a network on a USB connection. USB connections are for "local" printers. "add" the Designjet T610 printer to your other PC under "printers and devices" tab. Good luck !

I need to find the IP address of my HP Laserjet 4200n printer. I've gone through all menus, printed a configuration page, and nothing. How can I find it??

First look at the back of the printer where the network cable plugs into the formatter. There should be a blinking green light. No green light no network!
That means printer is talking to the host.
Print out the config pages again. On the 2nd page top left side should be a line "I/O card Ready"
If it is READY, look down the page and you should see the IP address.
You can also push the left side of the menu switch twice. You will see EIO X JETDIRECT MENU
That is where you find the IP address.

Can anyone tell me what an error message 82.0180 means on an HP Laserjet 4100?

Error 82.0180 means that the JetDirect Firmware is corrupted. Refer to your manual how to cold reset the JD (JetDirect) card. JetDirect card enables network printing. If problem persist after cold reset, you may need to purchase a new JD card or bring your printer to HP service center for repair.

Error code 04C300 001E0000

This is an IO error. If there is a Hard Disk installed, remove it - the printer will run fine without it. If that does not solve the problem, remove the JetDirect card and run the test print. If the test print works, replace the JetDirect card. Parts available at: http://www.lpscomputer.com/c-654-designjet-1050c-1055cm.aspx

Printer does'nt initialize

This could be a Jetdirect network card fault. Remove the card and power the printer on. If it powers up and goes ready then power it off again, refit the card and try again.Sometime reseating the jetdirect card will sort this problem If it doesn't work, then i recommend replacing the jetdirect netwok card.

HP 2420 Issue

Print a configuration page found under the info menu on the printer. Make sure that under options it shows the network card as being an installed otion (it will show enven if its a built-in embedded card) If it doesn't show you have a bad jetdirect card. If it does show make sure the IP address, Subnetmask and Default Gateway listed on the page match that shown on your SERVER & WORKSTATIONS.

If the card info on the config page reads 0000 then you will need to reconfigure the card through the menu.

If you are using a 615N Jetdirect card in the printer and it doesn't list on the config page it's most likely a bad card as they have been dying regularly. If and only if it's a HP 615N card, jump on HP's support chat at HP.com and go through the on-line chat. If your persistent and insist, they will replace the card for free. You will have to be persistent though and tell them to look up the service note that authorizes after warranty replacement. They know it's their but unless your persistent they will play dumb try and charge you. Hope that helps you.

Hp laserjet 4200 printer- how to find the current ip address?

To have an IP address for the printer you must either have a HP4200n or install a Jetdirect card into the printer. The Jetdirect or "N" version of the printer with the built in Jetdirect holds the network IP address. Subnet Mask, Gateway Derfault and handles the networking functions. If you have a 4200n or Jetdirect installed it will print out on the configuration page.

The standard HP 4200 doesn't have the networking capability without adding the card. In the event that you have a card installed and its not recognizing the card on the configutation page it may be bad. The HP 615n cards are known to have burn out issues. If you have to install a card to upgrade your printer, I recommend a HP 620n or better to get around the known bad issues with the 615n cards.
