I can't play videos, because it keeps saying format error, and it's annoying

Hi ehoffman7196,
I see you get an error "format error" you mentioned this means that the mp3 player could not play the file you are trying to play.
check the format of the video is it mp3 is it avi is it wmv or possible it may be mp4 that is one reason since you mentioned that the error is format error then it cannot read the file mp4 is the latest format for a video file check first if it is then it really will not play at all.

I try and play a track on my Sony nw-hd3 mp3 player and everytime it says 'error cannot play track'! Please help

hi have you istalled the correct software that came with it.
if you have then it could be that the tracks you have put on it are in wrong format.
you can change the format by using search engine and type in change format you need to change them to mp3 also delete whats on their and start again if you use something like limewire you can get tunes for free and after downloading them store them in file then you can drag and drop them onto your mp3

Video file shows file format error in mp4 player. videos does not run

Check the specification of your MP3 player to determine thetype of video file format it uses. Most common video files that MP3 players use are, AVI andWMV, there may be others such as FLV, MOV and DivX. If your player cannot play a video then it is anincompatible video file format, then you need to convert that video file to aformat that your MP3 player uses. Everytime i put videos in slyvania mp3 touch it always says file format error.

You need to convert any videos you upload to your mp3/mp4 player to a format it will support, refer to your mp3 player manufacturers website for the screensize and supported video type and convert them. You can use the free Freemake Video Converter to convert a video to a supported format and screensize. Good luck.

My sharper image touch mp3 player won't play .avi files.

The problem is that the player of this MP3 has a corrupted program. If this device could play .avi and .mp4 before, you need to contact the manufacturer and have them reloaded the program.

But if you haven't tried playing .avi and .mp4 file format before, then refer to the user manual to verify it this device supports those video file format.

Thank you!

It keeps saying file error

Check the format of the music you are playing and if you have music that requires the license it will load the music but not play. It will show up as a file error.

Warning File Format Error

It seems that your trying to play a video that the media player does not support. The video works on your computer because the computer supports many more video file formats that the media player does. Make sure that the video your trying to play has a .mp4 file extension after the file name, meaning that it is a mp4 file. Try another known working mp4 video file.
good luck and i hope this has helped.
