It sounds like the power supply had died and not even putting out the standby 5vdc. Did you take a look at the power supply module to see if you see any bad caps with elaking/bulging tops, burnt parts?

The blue light merely indicates that power is getting to your TV. It has internal power supply problems.

How is the chirping sound turned off?

1. Open Hood (ground blue hood pin wire if no hood pin switch is installed)
2. Turn Key to the ON position
3. Press program / valet button 5 times, after a few seconds the unit will flash the lights 5 times.
4. Push the valet/program button 18 times. You must get a light flash after each button press.
5. Press the LOCK button to turn chirp confirmation off.
6. Turn Ignition OFF, Close hood (or unground blue hood pin wire) and check for changed features.

No Power - hissing but no picture

Power supply capacitors are the most likely culprit. Look for bad solder connections as well.

Do you have back light when turning on the TV? if you do then just replace the main board should resolve the problem. if you do not have back light, you will need to replace the inverter board(s) depending on your model. The inverter board(s) is located on the left side of the TV facing back of TV. you may have two inverter boards depending on your model. the other is located on the right side of the TV. Both mount vertically.
