My camera wont charge in the tray or the charge light won't come on. Camera keeps saying low battery.

My guess is that with the age of the battery it isn't able to hold a charge anymore which means you'll need to purchase a new battery. Your best bet for that will be to go through Sony or the website Dr. Battery.

Invalid battery message comes up when I turn the phone on.

I am not familiar with the TracFone V170 but most phones now communicate with the battery. They do this because the battery contains a small computer chip which monitors the charge state, temperature etc.. If this chip is faulty or missing because it is a cheap copy battery, some phones will not work properly. They usually power up okay but will not charge or will charge really slowly. There are various messages they may give including "alien battery", "Invalid Battery" to name a few. If it is unable to communicate with the battery, it will not usually charge as fast as it could because it cannot tell if the battery is overheating so it will always trickle charge an unknown battery.

You will notice a battery like this because it has at least three battery connections. Older ones only had two.

MY PHONE WONT CHARGE. i HAVE TAKEN THE BATTERY OUT WAITED PUT BACK IN AND STILL AFTER SITTING EVEN FOR AN HOUR STILL NO CHARGE

the razr has multiple issues with charging...

the mini usb port for charging often breaks, does your charger feel loose?

the software sometimes gets worn out, it would help to know which software version you were on... you can check to see if you are on the most current s/w version with your provider (this could potentially fix issues if your phone is saying "invalid charger" or "unauthorized charger")

is your battery swollen? does it feel pudgy? test your battery by taking it out and putting it on a table flat and trying to spin it. if the battery spins easily, then it is no longer good.

also, most lithium-ion batteries only have a shelf life of about 365 charges. it will tell you the date of make on the battery, check it out. most batteries give you a one year warranty... each time you plug your phone in, it counts as a charge, so you should wait for your phone to only have one battery bar left (but do not let it die completely, cause this causes the battery's life to run out faster)

sometimes, rarely, but sometimes, the charger itself is bad. ask a friend to try theirs, or try your car charger. see if it works then.

good luck!

When plug in the charger phone turn itself off then says insert battery and it takes for ever to charge the handset

Here is what is going to happen next, just so you know. You will have to remove the battery completely. Then, plug the phone into your charger. It may take a moment, but it will tell you to insert the battery. Once done, you can charge the phone normally. But, here's what will happen, if my experience is any gauge. Next your screen may stop responding, so I suggest you back up your contact list as soon as you can. After this, you will most likely need to replace the phone, as the problem these phones are having just doesn't seem to stay gone. I have a replacement phone now, and for some reason, my battery will not keep a charge anymore. So, I am going to have to purchase a backup battery. Let's hope you have better luck and only have to do the first part of this fix. Good luck.

Phone willnot hold a charge

when I had this problem, it was the battery... it wouldn't charge anymore. you have to go get a new battery. Unfortunately, over charging them or using them a lot and keeping them on the bases and not letting them die off can cause this to happen long before it should so go get yourself a new battery (I think Wal Mart has a good selection) Make sure you charge it for a minimum of 8-12 hours before you use it and then let it die completely before you re-charge it. that should work for you.

I hope this helps.

Please remember to rate my help. I would appreciate it. If I didn't help you out, then please feel free to rate it a "Thanks For Trying"

Invalid Battery

Totally discharging the battery is the way to go. But what you can also do to use your phone in the meantime is this. Plug your charger into the phone withOUT your battery in. It will tell you "Unable to Charge." When it says this, put the battery in. It might tell you "Invalid Battery" a couple more times, but it did eventually say "Charging Battery" for me. After that, simply turn the phone on and it will return to normal. This is when you drain the battery completely. Once I did that, I did not get the invalid battery error again.
