SOURCE: no display when power on pushed
Had the same problem as described above. Could hear it trying to pump out the water but had no lights except for the Door Locked light. Cleaned the pump filter by removing the bottom front cover. Unscrew the filter and clean out the lint and junk. Have a bucket ready to catch the water.

I’m not sure what machine model you have your in the FAV6800AW forum. I got Maytag CSV to send me a Control Board for my FAV6800AW. Had to do some arm twisting it is under warranty for 5 years. If you think your Control Board or console is under warranty give it a try. They wanted a Cert Svr Tech to diag the problem. I told them my neighbor was a Svr Tech (me) he had diag the problem and would install the part. They sent me the Control Board, it might be worth a try. I have a number spare parts not under warranty and ebay is my 1st choice, Second Choice . I use this for parts look up Sears Parts Direct.
What is your model type? It sounds like you have Service Manual for your machine and you are troubleshooting in the right direction. Do you have surge protection on the 120VAC outlet powering your machine. Good Luck Rich.

Could still be the water inlet valve. What you need to do is pull the washer out where you can get to the valve and the plug. Unplug the inlet valve and start the washer and when you start it as normal check the volts of the plug and see if its 110 if it is you know that the valve is getting power to open but not, replace the valve. If you dont get any voltage then it could be the relay or control board
