Question about HP Photosmart C3180 All-In-One InkJet Printer

1 Answer

Out of paper indicator is always on

My HP Photosmart C3100 printer will not print at all because it thinks there is no paper when, if fact, the paper tray is full. Documents queue OK. Just can't get past this out of paper error.

Try to take out some paper, maybe the stack i too high/tight. check if there's an obstruction on the paper tray... i had this issue just last week, where a student place a bracelet in the paper tray and the roller can't pickup the paper.

Why will printer not pull paper and makes clicking sound?

Did you have a paper jam before the noise started, if so there may still be some paper stuck in there or you make have a brocken tooth on one of your drive gears.

HP Photosmart C3100 printer is printing very slow.

Check 'properties' when printing and make sure that you are not printing at the highest quality color if you are not printing pictures.

Looks like an exclamation mark at the end of the line that says printer and is filled in with Photosmart C3100 series when i push the print under file.

That mark indicates that either the printer has a problem (no paper, no ink, jammed) or that the correct device-driver software for the printer has not been installed, or that you have "paused" the printer.
